I don't understand the worlds fixation on Gatorade, and other like products. It is very high in sodium, not to mention sugar, and is not necessary unless you are working out a lot, doing a lot of sweating and need to replace fluids.

I would tell her to check with her doctor before consuming excessive amounts. Pregnant women often have elevated blood pressure and should avoid extra sodium. Water is always the best choice for hydration.

Gatorade is just fine. I would stick with the traditional orange or lemon-lime and skip the Extra Pro and weird stuff. Watch your consumption by watching the serving sizes. A couple of servings a day shouldn't cause any problems at all.

Yes, and there's actually some nutritional value, too! A typical ejaculation fills up about one teaspoon; the actual amount is determined by a man's age (younger men usually make more semen), when he last ejaculated, and how long he's aroused before ejaculating, among other factors. Contrary to what you've heard, semen is not loaded with calories. Each teaspoon of ejaculate has about 5 - 7 calories and some 200 - 500 million sperm. Since sperm make up only about 1 percent of semen, what accounts for the other 99 percent? Well, its other ingredients include: Fructose sugar Water Ascorbic acid (a.k.a., vitamin C) Citric acid Enzymes Protein Phosphate and bicarbonate buffers (bases) Zinc

Yes it's fine. That was the only liquid I could keep down during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy and my doctor told me it's ok. Lemon-Lime was the best for me because it didn't seem as strong as the other kinds.

Totally fine to drink, but it has a ton of sugar in it, so don't overload on it. Try mixing it with water, or just drinking straight water. If you are not to fond of the taste of water try adding lemon or lime juice, it also acts as a natural diuretic so it can help reduce the swelling.

There's too much sugar--in the form of high fructose corn syrup, which is worse than regular sugar--in gatorade for her to use it as her regular form of hydrating fluids. Mostly water with a little bit of gatorade occasionally would be best.

I was so dehydrated my first trimester that the only thing I could drink was gatorade for several days. It's not the best but its good in some cases because of the electrolytes.

Yup Yup, like my ob doc. said, "It's like IV fluid in a bottle!" Especially if you are going through morning sickness, it's great because of all those electrolytes. Now, I wouldn't be drinking it non-stop throughout the day (ex. 4 bottles a day) because there is quite a bit of sugar in Gatorade...but a bottle a day is perfectly fine! Congrats!

I drank gatorade throughout all 3 of my pregnancies. It is completely fine, nothing will happen.
