I really like these names, Alice, Edward, Isabella, Jasper, Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Rosalie. Are they too weird? Please be honest. If they are too weird, I also like Charlie, Jacob, Angela, and Renee. Some of them will be middle names. Please be honest! Can you tell me what should be the first/middle names?
(I'm not pregnant or expecting to be any time soon, I just want to think about what I might name my kids when I do get pregnant.)

I do not want any suggestions on other names, I just want to know what you think of these, and how best to combine them. And yes, Carlisle is a boy's first name.

PEOPLE!!!!! Carlisle is a BOY'S FIRST name!!! Please don't tell me that I should name my daughter Carlisle Ann. I want nice combos of the names given. I don't care if Isabella Jean sounds beautiful, I want combos of Jasper, Emmett, Carlisle, Edward, Jacob, and Charlie. I also want combos of Isabella, Alice, Esme, Rosalie, Angela, and Renee. That is all I want to know.

Edward- Really dorky, unless it's your grandpa's name. Just tooooooo old school. Only name your kid that if he has scissors instead of hands.
Isabella- A cat name. For a cat lover.
Jasper- Yeah that's a REALLY wierd name. Yuck.
Carlslile- A last name. NOT a first name.
Esme-Maybe it's ok for a gypsy. Not a kid in 2000's though.
Emmett- Sounds neat. Actually it sounds really neat. But only for a guy. NOT a girl name.
Rosalie- Cute.

Charlie- Good name for a dog or a unicorn. Not for a person.

Also if you're religious it's in the Bible (Genesis) but if you're not then don't worry people don't immediately think Bible when they hear the name Jacob or Jake. They do with Noah though.
Angela- REALLY cute. Good strong name.
Renee- Good if it's pronounced Ra-nay. I love that name. Not if it's Ra-knee.

No your names are not weird.
In fact from your list I like Alice, Edward, Charlie.
I really don't like Esme. It sounds like a disney villian.
Emmett reminds me of that old Jim Henson's Christmas special Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas. I always loved the little movie when I was a kid.

When picking a kids name, it's not what's wierd, but what you want to yell at the top of your lungs the most. You don't want to sound like you're yelling at your dog.
For example "Jasper quit beating up your brother!"
A name should have a certain flow, and feeling. Try to imagine common (mis)conceptions with the name. When you say Charlie, I think Angels. Do you want your child tied to that stigma of the 70's tv show, and/or the Drew Berrymore/Lucy Liu/Cameron Diaz action comedy?? Many of your names are rather 'old fashioned' (alice, emmett, jacob, etc.). These might tie to combinations of names that are already used.
When picking my children's names, we tried to avoid a names that were common. Also names that could have negative nicknames associated with them. Charlie = Chuckie?? Check out the Baby Name Wizard (and associated book) for ideas.
IMO, none of the names are wierd, just wouldn't pick them myself.

The names Alice, Isabella, Rosaliw, Jacob, and Angela are great names. Don't use the other ones.
