Pregnancy & Parenting - 18 July 2007

I met a no manner's kid at supermarket last Sunday.

It's really crowded, the boy's father push the shopping cart and stop behind me as there's too many people and I can't move forward anymore, when I am waiting others to move forward, I heard the boy yelled:"Why she stop there?Knock her down if she won't move forward!" I was shocked to hear that as he's only about six-year-old! And his father, shocked me again as he didn't scold his kid for being no manners.

I also met a well-mannered kid that day in front of a food stall, the boy accidentally hits my arm and he said sorry immediately after that.He's also about six-year-old.

Both of them are kids, but they are very different.

What's your opinion? Do you think it's parents responsibilities if kids have bad manners?

i was wondering how far along you have so be before they will not try to stop your labor? I know if someone goes into labor at like 24 weeks they will try to stop it but what if you are 33 weeks or 36 weeks? after what point do they just let nature take it's course?

Hi all. I am currently 31weeks pregnant. And I have been having sore throat, sinus, body ache, stuffy nose and it feels like I have a fever or I am getting one. I did take my temperature, but it just says 98.0... Is there anything I can take that wont harm my baby? Will my baby be affected by my sickness? I appreciate your time. Thank You

I think it reflects on the parents. They are obvisouly too old for it and the parents just don't want to deal with trying to take it. What do you think?

My first child will be 3 when my next child is born. What are some thoughts on single vs double strollers? I use my stoller on a weekly basis. Not sure what I would do without it. But wonder if I will get much use out of a double stoller to make it worth it.

Hi all,

Last week, I made the mistake of testing for ovulation at different times of the day. For example, on Tuesday, I tested in the morning (like a dummy), on Wednesday in the evening (and got a light line/positive), and on Thursday evening I got a dark line, positive.

So this begs the question: Is it possible that I ovulated SOONER than Wednesday? My line on Thursday was definitely darker than the dummy line, and darker than Wednesday's line, but I'm still wondering since I didn't test at the same time each day. Help!

Also, I had cramps most of Thursday evening, which I attributed to ovulation, and BD'd that night. I also BD'd on Tuesday night.

So, do you think I correctly isolated my ovulation for Thursday night/Friday? Or do you think I missed the boat? On the other hand, I did have sex on Tuesday.

LOVE to hear what you think about my chances and what I've outlined above. THANKS!

ok so here is the thing since i last posted i have taken pregnancy tests and they are negative but here lately i get lower back pains like u would not believe then somedays i wake up with a huge headache and feel sick. not only is it when i wake up but its all through the day . i can be fine one minute and feel like **** in no time at all. my sister says its only been 2 weeks since u had sex so u might want to wait for a month then take a test . cause 2 days after i had unprotected sex using pull out method i started my period so i need to wait for a month or so before i test cause right now im ovulating according to my body system. i guess my question is with the way ive been feeling lately and the fact i took some tests and they were negative is there still a possibility i could be pregnant? someone please help me. oh and trust me i do want a baby thats why i ask so much.

Took the morning after pill 5 days after unprotected sex. 2 weeks on, my period has came 4 days early but is much more painful. I had horrible cramps and now a large mass of what looks like a blood clot with something attached to it has came out. THe cramps are still going on. Is it possible that i was pregnant and the pill has caused an abortion.??

Im am going on 29 weeks pregnant. Im getting more and more nervous about the big day. I was wondering should I take some birthing classes to learn how to breath or does it come natural. She has been telling me she can't get to sleep but the problem has been getting worse. During the school year it was not uncommon for her to fall asleep around 10, but now that she doesn't have to wake up she will stay in bed til at least 9:30. She'll wake up if I go sit on the bed and prod her and talk to her but doesn't want to really get out of bed.

It doesn't seem to be affecting her mood or anything else - she's actually not that grumpy, it's as if she's getting a good amount of sleep. It just feels weird having her sleep so late, and I don't like to stay up that late but I don't want her to be up by herself.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas?

i am 4 1/2 months pregnant and for the last few nights i have been having awful dreams. I heard this happens a lot to pregnant women, is this true? Is there any way to prevent this? Moms always have tricks, i hope there is one for this.

So i had my 28 weeks ultrasound and i have to go back at 32 weeks to rule out IUGR. I got my measurements from the 28 week u.s. and she said the normal was 1.05 and my baby was below that. but what is the 1.05? percent? cms? what do they get that number from?

all day i've had a period like ache, it's not painfull is it's so mild just noticable, i'm not sure if theese are contractions as i had them for 16 hours last weeks then they compleatly went. i'm not too sure weather it comes and goes or if it's a constant ache, has and one had a simular experance i'm 40 weeks.
