Hi all. I am currently 31weeks pregnant. And I have been having sore throat, sinus, body ache, stuffy nose and it feels like I have a fever or I am getting one. I did take my temperature, but it just says 98.0... Is there anything I can take that wont harm my baby? Will my baby be affected by my sickness? I appreciate your time. Thank You

Hi, Tylenol is good for a lot of symptoms. Saline nasal spray can be used for a stuffy nose. Most medicines can't be used though. Just call your doctor's office and they will either tell you, or have you come in. It will be well worth it, for you and baby. I had a sinus infection and bronchitis for the first 3 months of my pregnancy. To this day I feel that if it had gotten treated sooner it wouldn't have lasted that long. Hope you feel better soon and good luck with everything!

It is possible that those symptoms are pregnancy related. I had a stuffy nose from the very beginning through to my delivery! It was awesome to wake up the day after I had my baby and actually be able to breathe through my nose! You can get a pregnancy test at the hospital or at your doctor if you want to know. They can detect pregnancy much earlier than home tests. I found out I was pregnant a little more than 1 week after conception when I went in for surgery on my gall bladder.

You may have a sinus infection or a summer cold. If your temp is normal, then it probably isnt fever. Take tylenol cold n sinus and rest. thats the best thing for you and baby right now.

I went through the same thing and my doctor told me to take regular strength Tylenol. (I had a temperature of 100.0) She also said to watch out for other symptoms just in case to decide whether or not I needed to come in. Call your doctor and let them know, and see what they have to say.

Call your doctors office and ask them. My doctor gave me a list of all the OTC drugs I could take during pregnancy. I think sudafed was on there, but I don't really remember. I'm surprised that you didn't get a list at one of your first visits.
