My 12.5 year old daughter was watching TV and asked my why some people give their babies up for adoption. I'm pregnant with my 3rd child and she's excited to be a big sister again, but couldn't understand how someone could give up their baby. I tried to explain to her that sometimes girls/women get pregnant and can't raise their babies and give them to families that can. She thought that was cruel and couldn't understand how a mommy couldn't want her baby. How would you have answered this question so I sounded like it was the best thing for the baby? It really seems to be bothering her now. Any ideas on how to best explain this to her would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be 40 weeks tomorrow. Last night I was having TONS of Braxton Hicks. Normally I just get a few during the day while at work but from 4pm on last night my stomach felt like a python was wrapped around it. I wasn't crampy but my lower back was hurting (not crampy just - hurting). I had some major pressure in my pelvis too. I was timing these BH contractions and they were 3 minutes apart. They eased off during the night and I'm still having some this morning. Do you think my body is gearing up for real labor maybe?? I'm just so scared I'll have to be induced, so I''m really hoping my body is getting ready to do it own its own.

I had my membranes stripped 2 days ago - I didn't even cramp afterward.

What's your opinion? I know every labor is different, I'm just hoping to go natural.

THANKS!!!!

Every night at around 3am he wakes up with bad wind pains that last untill around 11am, when he has a bowel movement and then he is fine again. The only thing that seems to help is vigorously rubbing his lower back. He is formula fed and on the advice of my health visitor i have been giving him 1 ounce of water a day. I don't think he is constipated as he does have a bowel movement everyday, but he seems in such pain and looks to be straining himself all the time. Can anyone help? Has this happened to you and what did you do about it?? Thanks for the comments.

One of my kids brought home headlice from school a month ago. I cut my son's hair off. My daughter has chin-length hair. I first tried using the Rid products on both kids. I then combed the nits out of both kids hair. It didn't get rid of the problem for my daughter so the doctor gave us a permethrin cream to rub in our scalp and hair and put a showercap on and leave for 8 hours. My husband and son are fine but my daughter and I are still miserable from it! I'm 30 years old with head lice..sighs. My husband keeps checking my hair but says he doesn't see anything, I tell him to not worry about hurting my feelings, just please help me get rid of it, he swears he doesnt see anything. I just myself found 2 adult lice in my hair this morning. I don't know what else to do. I've done all the steps, used olive oil treatments, rid, combed, washed all linens and brushes. I'm about to shave my head and divorce my husband. Please Please help me.
