My 3 year son has figured out how to unbuckle his car seat straps and any other way to strap him in! One time, he got out and my mom-in-law got pulled over, because he was standing up in the back seat looking out the back window. Yes, I know Granny should have seen him, but she is a very careful driver...thus she watches the road. Anyway, does anyone have a suggestion on how to keep him strapped in?

I don't. Growing up I got spanked when needed. I could have used more. My parents also showered me with praise when I deserved it. Would anyone say their grandparents were child abusers? That's what they did in the old days. Gave a kid a swat on the hind end when needed.

...due in October, and when I mention this to people their either think its really cute or a dog's name!! What does anyone else think because it seems to be sticking, my partner and mother-in-law likes it also. I'm just a little wary of it also being the name of a Tweenie character!! Thinking of the middle name being Grace and the surname is Rhodes. Any thoughts on this, or any other name suggestions?? Sensible answers only please!! Thanks in advance. xxx

Ok, so far I have taken 6 pregnancy test. 2 digital and 4 plus/minus. I am due for my period on Saturday, but keep getting headaches (which I never get) and nausea (which I never get). The 2 digital said not pregnant... and 3 out of the 4 plus/mius have a faint line. The line is so tiny it is hardly recognizable and it does not touch the line in which it is supposed to go through to make a plus. I am really confused as to whether that means positive or negative. I called the 800 number and they said positive.... but like I said you really have to stare hard at it to notice it. What does this mean? Please help before I loose my mind lol. This would be my second pregnancy and with the first the line was very distinct. They also said when testing early the plus/minus is more accurate.

I have heard stories that women who give birth have to stay in the hospital for a couple of days. I am perfectly healthy and the Dr. says the baby is doing fine as well. I hate hospitals and I want to be able to leave after the birth as soon as the Dr. says me and my baby are healthy. I hate hospitals because I have had a lot of family members die in them, mostly because of stupid mistakes Dr.'s have made. The longer I am there the more likely I will go nuts. What do Dr.'s expect of the mother, before they let her leave? Do I have to be able to walk in a straight line or what? Does it take longer to get out if you use pain reliever for the birth? I hate hospitals, I am poor so I cant afford a midwife and do a home birth, I hate Dr.'s, and I hate stupid answers. SO DON'T ANSWER IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT! I take this question seriously, so I expect the same from people who answer it. Thank you.

Some of you misunderstood the question last time I posted it. I mean at any given time, not on a constant basis. I mean to say that if a woman has sex with a guy ONE TIME, and ONE TIME only, what are the chances that she will be pregnant from him?

That's what "at any random time" means...

What do you think of the name Teagan for a girl? I also need a middle name, any suggestions?

What do you think of these names?

Tara Jade, Brooke Erin, Chelsea Anne and Jenna Christine.

What about the names Savannah and Abigail (Abby)? Are they too cute or would the names grow with them?

Thanks!

Last month, I started my period on the 16th, and it should be somewhere around that time this month too. If I'm judging by that, it's two days late. If I were to take a pregnancy test (I don't really think I'm pregnant, nor do I want to be-- I'm just being on the safe side) would it be accurate right now?

I have a 7 month old daughter, who is crawling and starting to pull up on EVERYTHING. A few days ago she bumped her face when she toppled over and had a small bruise on her cheek. The next day i was taking my daughter for a walk around the neighborhood and stopped to talk to my neighbor. She commented on the bruise on Rosie's cheek, i told her what happened. The next afternoon, CPS came knocking on my door, wanting to inspect my home and child, because there had been a call about possible child abuse. The CPS investigators decided that my home was perfectly safe and that I wasn't abusing my daughter. I am so freaking angry at my neighbor and would love to confront her about it. Any advice about what I should do?

Hi all, I just read an interesting question that made me think when is a good age to start teaching my daughter (now 6 months old) manners. When will she be able to understand the concept? I want to raise her being polite, saying thank you, excuse me, please, no/yes sir/mam, etc. Should I just start saying it to her now? Share your experience..thanks!

I have a 4 year old son who knows when he needs to potty but when he sits down on the potty... he cant go. He stands up and then feels the need to go again. But cant go when he sits down. We put a pull up on him and he goes. He can hold it and make it to the potty, but once there he no longer needs to go. And he will sit on the potty for 30 minutes or longer not going but as soon as he stands up he needs to go. So I put a pull up on him so he can go. Is there any way to help him go once he sits on the potty? I have tried offering him candy or telling him we will go somewhere if he goes potty. And he really wants it you can tell but he still cant go in the potty. Please any ideas will be nice.

I have a 8 yr old daughter that just lost my mom,her grandma in Aug of 06'. She is still not dealing with it well. She cries alot about missing grandma and wont sleep without my moms robe at night. It is definatly fair to say that I am not handling things so great either, and I guess I dont know how to help her when I havent been able to help myself. I have never been through this pain before and I need advice on how to help her out of this, before it ruins her life at such a young age. I try to talk to her, but when I do I cry which just gets her upset more. She is acting out more and last year in school she was real withdrawn. I want to help her before school starts again. I have had her see a concelor, but they said it is normal greiving. I see what they dont. The crying at night, withdrawling herself, and anger fits. Please help. Any advice would be great. But please be serious, my daughter is hurting and I cant seem to help her.
