They should induce you by now, it's not safe for you to go that far over due. Talk to your doctor and tell them that you want to be induced. 2 weeks over is the cut off...

I know how you feel, I am only 2 days over due, but I feel like I'm starting to crack up too. Good luck hun. If you don't have a doctors appointment in the next few days just call your doctor and tell them how you feel and have them schedule an induction.

I was almost 2 weeks overdue with my daughter. I begged them to do a c-section and get her out. In the end they said if you do not go into labor by Friday just come to the hospital by 6am and we will induce you.

With my second at 38 weeks I walked 2 miles and my water broke that night.

Hello, I feel your pain. I am currently 10 days past due. I was scheduled for induction last Tuesday on the 17th, but I actually asked my Dr. if we could push the induction back 1 more week, and see if the baby will come on her own naturally. As most women want the baby out as soon as possible I prefer for natural labor and childbirth. They then scheduled me for stress tests every 2-3 days to ensure the baby is not having any distress, as long as each stress test comes back good, they will allow me to hit my 42 week mark, but said no way will they let me go past 42 weeks. I have also not heard of very many women's Dr's allowing them past 42 weeks. Most Dr.s will schedule you for induction anywhere from 1-7 days after your due date (that is if they are sure of the conception date). I know that every day past your due date seems like a week, but try to hang in there. 95% of women that deliver post partum (past thier due date) have no problems or complications. The placenta does start to deteriorate after 40 weeks, giving the baby less nutrients, but babies come when they are ready. No women has stayed pregnant forever!!!! LOL However, I am surprised you haven't been induced yet. My Dr. said she absolutley would not allow me 1 day past 42 weeks. I am scheduled for induction on Wednesday 25th....1 day before my 42 week mark.
People will also tell you to walk, have sex, etc etc....I am also a firm believer babies come when they are ready, those things that people sware by, I think just coincidently did them and then they went into labor. Labor would have probably happened regardless, it was just thier time. I know its frustrating, but just think of it like this. You have been pregnant this long, a few more days isn't going to kill you. I would however call your Dr. first thing Monday and ask for the next induction appt, although I want mine to come naturally, I want her to be healthy, and unfortunatly staying in there too long can cause some risks. Good Luck

I would recheck with the obstetrician. Most physicians don't let you go past 2 weeks because the placenta ages and doesn't provide as many nutrients to the baby. I was overdue and my obstetrician gave me the choice of when I wanted to be induced which was 8 days past my due date.

I have never heard of anyone going more than 2 weeks past their due date without being induced? Why havent you been induced? I would talk to your doctor about it. After two weeks the placenta and the umbilical cord start to deteriorate dramatically.

Good luck...

I'm suprised your doctor hasn't already discussed inducing you. I would call them right away and tell them that you need to be induced. They usually dont' let women go this far over due... not around here anyways.
Blue Cohosh is an herb that is known to induce labor, I would check up on it if I were you.
