So i had my 28 weeks ultrasound and i have to go back at 32 weeks to rule out IUGR. I got my measurements from the 28 week u.s. and she said the normal was 1.05 and my baby was below that. but what is the 1.05? percent? cms? what do they get that number from?

I had this. The baby is just under weight. Meaning not where it should be. The baby should be fine. They should send you for more ultrasounds to keep an eye on the baby. I also from week 32 on had to do non-stress test to make sure the baby wasen't in stress from this. Then at 37 weeks they estimated the baby to be 6lbs and decied to take the baby. I had the baby at 38 weeks weight 4lbs 12oz. he was fine and came home two days later. I want to tell you the doctors are only estimating the weight not actually. And if I could of changed time back, I would of never left them take him because it's not like he stopped growing, just not gainning fast enough. Good luck and hope your baby is just behind right now, he might catch up and then be fine. Everyone is different.

You just wrote about his belly. That is what made his measurements off. They said his belly was smaller than normal. and there making his weight less.

Weight I believe. Sometimes babies go through growth spurts in the womb and measure smaller than they should at first and then catch up later. This is why you are going back for another ultrasound.
