That's how I started labor with several of my babies. With the first one, this cramping had been going on for about 16 hours before I realized that it might be a sign. It caught me off guard because I was only 36 weeks. Lo and behold, I went to the Dr (about 19 hours after the cramping started) and found out that I was 5 centimeters dialated, but by then the discomfort level had definitely increased. If the pain begins to increase, you are probably definitely in early labor. If not, you will be soon. If this is your first baby, chill out at home as long as you can (as long as you are not high risk). If this is your 2nd or higher, get checked out just to be on the safe side, unless you want to risk delivering in the car! I'm not a random idiot by the way. I have six children (smile).

The way to decide for sure if its false or real labour is if its the real thing then time your pains for over an hour. If they get longer or closer together then its likely to be the real thing. Braxton hicks/false labour can cause a lot of discomfort during the last bit of pregnancy and lead many women to believe they are infact in true labour, however these contractions eventually go without ever really developing a real pattern to them. If its real....it WILL definately get worse. If your pain is constant and this concerns you i would call the midwife and ask for their advice. Goodluck x

Contractions are lots worst than era pains - regardless of while you're a actual sufferer of era pains then i'm sorry to declare yet contractions are with the aid of far worst ! some will say that some women folk might sail by using their contractions yet I could say i hit upon this difficult to have self assurance. the stable element is that's believed that girls folk who go through rather badly with their classes after having a baby does get much less annoying and that i for you will vouch for that !

Could be Braxton Hicks contractions, I had these and they feel quite like the real thing. It's like your body is preparing for the final showdown! If in doubt, see your doctor.
