I have a 10 year old that I'm preparing for the pressures of being a pre-teen/teen and more than likely being offered drugs and/or alcohol at some point. He has been through DARE at school and asks a lot of questions and seems to have his mind made up but I'm curious what other parents have done to help the child overcome these temptations once they start Jr. High/High School. My thought is being open is the best policy but any other suggestions I would like to hear. Thank you.

hello every body.i had M/C in march .no DNC .Dr advised me dont try for baby 3 month i was useing condom but this month my husbend didnt use condom he did pulling out method in my ovulation's days.at day of 25 of my peiod afte sex i had pinck spot and next morning also i had pink spot.what do u think with pulling out method i am pregnant and this pink spot is implantation bleeding.any body have this experince?

My Mother Found It Hard To Concieve && When She Seen a Doctor She Jus Took Fertility Pills && Then Got Pregnant. The Doctor Said If She Ever Wanted To Get Pregnant Again She Wud Need To Take The Fertility Pills Again, But a Few Years Later She Was Having Unprotected Sex && Unexpectedly Got Pregnant ! So The Doctor Was Obviously Wrong.

I Have Bin Trying For 6 Months Now ..

Do You Think I Will Need To Do The Same && Im Going To Find It Hard To Get Preg?

daughter has been having some REAL attitude issues,but mainly at night. I have an 8 year old son and he is relativly calm in nature. She has always been very head strong and stubborn. But over the last 2 weeks she is not listening to ANYTHING I say,she wont answer me when I ask her questions and when I am trying to put her to bed at night she will scream,squeal, shreak,swing, kick,and just be out right nasty to me. I have tried spanking her-its like I didnt even do it. When she shrills in my face and the asking her to stop,spanking her, threatning to take away a favorite toy, doesnt work I tried to lightly pop her in the mouth with one of my fingers.THAT did not even work. There has been some additional stress in the family do to my mothers Cancer, but this just seems so out of sorts for her. I ususally give my kids choices throughout the day, they get 2-3 choices on what they want to eat,drink,play,etc. I like to have them make their own choices. Any suggestions on what I can try?HELP

My baby is 6 weeks old and we are going to an outdoor reunion this afternoon at 4:00. I'm a little worried because he is so young and it is sunny and hot today (30 Celcius). Is he to young to be outside with just a hat for shade and sun protection? I could keep him in his carseat in the stroller, but it gets so hot.

Mu daughter will be 6 weeks tomorrow. I was supposed to go fo rmy 6 week check up Monday but had to postpone it until the 23rd. Well my husband really wants to be intimate again. Do you think it is ok to be without the okay of a doctor, since it has been 6 weeks. OR should i just make him wait it out another 2 weeks when i go to the doc. EVerything in my labor was just fine and i've not been bleedign for several weeks, not discharge or anything. I think i'm pretty much healed. So what do you think, wait another two weeks, or because its been 6 weeks to just go ahead and be intimate? Thanks for your response!

i know all children can be demanding at times but my three year old daughter is getting impossible, she calls me every few mins to pick up things shes dropped,if im on the phone she drags out of my arm till i let her say hello, she asks for drinks food etc when im takling to someone, and the worse thing is i give into her demands without thinking. she is our sixth child so the older ones tend to run around after her, and find every little thing she does funny.i know its my giving in that has to change but now when i tell her im busy she starts crying that i dont love her and winges for the whole day ......anyone any ideas.

I am 5 months pregnant and don't know what I'm having yet. Do you like the names Avrian or Korbin? Is it for a boy or a girl? How about Avriann for a girl? Do you prefer Corbin as spelled with a "C" or a "K"? I was thinking maybe Corbin Monroe? Do you think that's too masculine for a girl? What about Monroe for a girl-- mabe her middle name. How would you pronounce Avrian? (ahh-vree-un) or (aye-vree-un)? any other unique, not too crazy names for boys or girls? Since the doctor switched my 4 day old to alimentum is it ok to still give her breastmilk and the alimentum? I asked if i could just not give her the slimentum and just the breastmilk and he said no so i dont know if i could use both?

Please help. My 5 month old has been trying new foods and got constipated. I stopped letting her have anything besides the breast and rice cereal once a day and some water. But she's still only having the equivalent of wet farts in her diapers. I'd prefer it be a natural cure if you could help I'd be very thankful....

I would appreciate, if you would kindly help me for the following:-

My Baby is just 8 months old. I have been feeding him solid food since his 5 months age. He is taking his food & fruits nicely without any vomiting or other problems. But what I felt that since he is taking solid food, some times he has Constipation (to release the Toilet) Problem. He is facing hard time and releasing small pieces like stones.

Please let me know in detail that how to handle the situation and what kind of food or fruits should be given to solve the Constipation Problem of Baby?

Also let me know what kind of Food and Fruits should not Given to the Baby?

Ok I am 14 weeks pregnant. At 12 weeks doctors advised me to undergo a scan to check if the baby has Down's Syndrome. (cautionary procedure since I am 30 yrs). The results were negative. They want to repeat the test in a month's time when I will be in week 16. What are the chances that a baby can develop Downs over the first and second trimesters? And at what stage can a mom-to-be stop worrying about a baby developing this particular syndrome? Pls help if you can with any info you have if you have heard/ read about this or been thru something similar. Not looking for medical advice but just any info pregnant moms may have. Thanks.

My 5 mth old son is usually a very laid back happy baby.. He sleeps 12 hours at night, and ever since he was 3 months old, we put him down in his crib awake, and he falls asleep on his own.. He had a cold once before, but at that time, he just kind of whined throughout the night and I would jut get up to put his pacifier in his mouth. He just got a cold that is keeping him up all night screaming! Last night, I almost took him to the hospital because he just would not stop wailing, even when I was holding him.. I have a few questions - first, is it normal for a baby to cry like this when they have a cold? he is very congested.. two, is there anything I can do to shorten the lengivity of this cold.. Three, aside from draining his nose, inclining his bead, using a humidifier, and putting vicks on him,is there anything I can do to make him feel better? and lastly, I finally just put him to bed with me, and he slept in my bed for the first time ever.. Am I teaching him a bad habit?

Ok, ive got 3 kids and i am working and i want to change my career. I look after them in the mornings when it comes to the school holidays and hubby looks after them in the afternoon. My youngest is about to start school in September. How comes not many employers are willing to be flexible when it comes to working mums having to look after kids in the holidays. That means I have to be stuck in my current job until the kids are grown up. Isnt this unfair?!!

I was spanked as a child - mostly for talking back to my parents - and I hold no ill will or grudge against it taking place.

Perhaps it's because I was spanked, that I can see the value it has as a learning tool. What do you think?

p.s. I haven't any children of my own, and I don't plan to have any so nobody has to worry about what I'm doing to children behind closed doors.
