sorry to say, but yes, its possible. youre most fertile right after birth, miscarriage or abortion. i would say wait 3 weeks or so and take a test, but im not positive if that would be different after birth or not.

*edit* sorry i had to add after reading the other answers. my doctor told me with both my kids; i could resume sex as soon as i wanted. if we tried and i wasnt in any pain, it was ok (even if that meant 2 weeks later) you dont HAVE to wait 6 weeks... geesh. with my last, i even had 10 stitches and was healed and fine having sex only 10 days later. so i dont want to hear it. as long as your careful and use lube if you need to, dont worry about that! if you werent in pain hun, then im sure you were fine to do anythign this early. and nursing is NOT a form of birth control!!!!!!!!!!

Oh you really needed a little more time to heal. So much has just happened to your body. But yes your chances are very very high. Remember everything is open down there so those bad boys can swim to your egg fast.

Now you may have some things working for you. First if you are breast feeding that can help your chances or if the condom had a spermicide lub that is designed to kill the sperm but that is not a hundred percent.

But you will have to wait until your pospartum visit in another 4 weeks. And please for the sake of all that makes you a woman let your stuff heal properly

Well, yes you could get pg. That is why some women have children 10-11 months apart. I had sex unprotected after all 4 of my children. The longest we ever made it was like 10 days post delivery. I did not get pg. IF you are breastfeeding that greatly reduces your chances of getting pg again immediatly after birth. If you are bottle feeding you will be fertile a lot quicker. I was breastfeeding and the closest any of my children are is 14 months. They will automatically check you when you go back to the dr for your check up especially if you tell them that. Good luck

Okay, I have a question for you. Were you listening when the doctor told you to wait at least 6 weeks? There's a reason for this. It's not common to get pregnant so soon after childbirth, but it can happen. The biggest concern is uterine infection, which is very dangerous and can easily happen if you're having sex before you've healed. I would go to the doctor and get on antibiotics and let him know your pregnancy concerns as well. Good luck

There is a very good chance that you could be pregnant. If this is not something you are hoping for, you can get the morning after pill (emergency contraception) which will help reduce the risk of you becomming pregnant. and i would also recomend waiting the full 6 weeks before having sex again. my boyfriends grandmother waited only a week after giving birth to her last child before having sex. This caused a serious infection which caused her not to be able to have anymore children.

Are you nuts???
The doctor tells us to wait 6 weeks. There is a reason for that, believe it or not???? A body must HEAL. YOU are taking a chance with ur OWN body and are hurting urself physically. Does this BOY even care????????
So this is ur boyfriend and you already have a baby...now u r repeating the same story. Doom and Gloom. Remember...ur first obligation is to raise that child in a loving HOME so stop thinking about urself and get that "boyfriend " off his culo and work. You should be taking care of that baby. When can u possibly find time to screw off?

First off you are SOOO much more likely to get pregnant after you just had a baby that you could likely be pregnant again... Second, there is a reason that they tell you to wait at least 6 weeks before having sex after a baby... Maybe you should be more worried about medical issues.

First of all 2 weeks after giving birth your body is not ready to be having intercourse. This could cause damage. And yes you could get pregnant again it happens everyday. Get the morning after unless you want another baby. And wait until your 6 week check up when you and your doctor can discuss birth control. Kids are a wonderful thing but, your body needs time to heal.

You could wait the 6 weeks your suppose to? LOL, No Worries, I didn't either.... I have 3 children and the last 2 are only 10 months apart. Believe me, it ain't a great feeling to go to your Dr. for your 6 week check up and confirm you are pregnant AGAIN!

{Of course, I'd never change it for the world}
