My baby is 6 weeks old and we are going to an outdoor reunion this afternoon at 4:00. I'm a little worried because he is so young and it is sunny and hot today (30 Celcius). Is he to young to be outside with just a hat for shade and sun protection? I could keep him in his carseat in the stroller, but it gets so hot.

Yes you can bring a 6 week old out... just make sure he doesn't get too hot... keep him in the shade... Do not put sunscreen on him he is too young. And watch the mosquito's and black flies he might have a reaction to them. Keep your baby in a light sleeper or the one piece undershirt... Good luck and have fun.....

Try to keep him in the shade on a blanket..l You're right carseats get really hot. Make sure he stays hydrated too! And I wouldn't stay long, it's my guess that everyone is going to want to hold him and pass him around, but that will make him hot too. Just hold your ground! Good luck :) Oh and be careful with sunscreen, many are NOT recommended for newborns b/c there skin is so sensitive. Better off with a good floppy hat.

you will have to try and find some shade for the little one babies don;t sweat when they are that young so it is very important to make sure they are not over eating if it hot though babies tend to sleep more and might enjoy being in the stroller sleeping more of the time when i my 1st son was about 4 months i brought him to a family reunion it was really windy he slept for most of the time but when he got up he sucked in alot of wind and was screaming his head off for quite a while poor little guy because he was in pain from all the air he had swallowed so try and kept your baby from swallowing the wind too

Do not put sunscreen on your baby!!! My pediatrician told me not to use it on my daughter because it gets absorbed into their skin and it has chemicals in it. You should wait until the baby is at least 6 months old to use it and it says that on the back of kids sunblock bottles. Keep baby in the shade and limit the time spent outside in the heat.

No its not to hot. Just make sure he is not in direct sun and try to fan him . Also put light color clothing on him. And also go by how you feel if it really to hot for you then its to hot for him. If you see that he is not been his self like crying more then normal or not smiling that cute smile that he give you then it my be time to go home . But you must try he could be the life of reunion.

I wouldn't see a problem with it. Just keep an eye on him. But if you are constantly going to worry over him you may not have fun if you do go.... Just remember babies this young are actually still putting on fat to maintain body heat. BEWARE of the direct sun and use sunscreen designed for babies (adult is too strong)

you know I wouldnt , because my daughter was around the same age, she was born june 25th last yr and in august I was at my mom's for a cook out with her and she scared the hell outta me. we were out side mostly, and even in her house it was hot ( she hates AC , gives her a headache ) and my daughter wouldnt wake up , not even to eat. She slept for over 9 hours at my moms so I took her to the ER and almost as soon as they brought her back she woke up and was just fine . It was cold in the ER but hot as hell outside and that's what they said. babies can get lathargic outside in the heat, shade isnt always enough . So bring him inside where there is AC if you can other wise I would advise against it since it's sooo hot outside.

specific, of course! photograph voltaic is considerable for nutrition D production and the sparkling air would be good to your infant too. do no longer placed sunblock on your infant. purely make confident that she or he isn't in direct photograph voltaic for greater desirable than a minute or 2 at a time to stay away from sunburn.

Since your baby is so young, maybe you can find a way to keep him inside where its cool. Newborn babies skin is very fragile and it may burn easily.
