Mu daughter will be 6 weeks tomorrow. I was supposed to go fo rmy 6 week check up Monday but had to postpone it until the 23rd. Well my husband really wants to be intimate again. Do you think it is ok to be without the okay of a doctor, since it has been 6 weeks. OR should i just make him wait it out another 2 weeks when i go to the doc. EVerything in my labor was just fine and i've not been bleedign for several weeks, not discharge or anything. I think i'm pretty much healed. So what do you think, wait another two weeks, or because its been 6 weeks to just go ahead and be intimate? Thanks for your response!

So long as you feel good, and things are gentle you should be absolutely fine. Stimulating that area will help you finish healing and get you back into the swing of things. Just take it slow and ENJOY!!

I think it would be okay, if you feel comfortable - physically and mentally. Just take it slow and consider lots of lube! Many woman are a bit more dry after childbirth. Also, consider what type of protection you're going to use. As your hormones are starting to balance out, that means your cylce could also be starting to balance - it's possible to get preggo again even if you haven't started a period yet.

BTW - I think I made my husban wait about 10 weeks. I was just too physically tired with a newborn at home. Sex was the farthest thing from my mind! A good husband will understand and respect that.

Go for it girl you can't make him wait, let alone you wait. That and if you wait to long, your baby wont sleep as much and you will be rushed to finish;) And it is ok, I started 2 weeks after I had mine, but I didnt bleed past 4 days for both, I didnt rip/tear, and I was not to swallon. That and I did my 6 week check up at 3 months instead. I think its just more for the doctor to make money. The point is, light candels, put baby to bed, and suprise him. It will feel weird at first, but go slow dont rush it, your body will tell you as your starting how much you can handel. Good Luck, and have fun :)

Don't know if your supposed to or not, but my baby just turned 6 weeks old yesterday. I've had sex a few times since he was about 4 weeks old. The only thing is you have to be very careful if your not on birth control yet. This is my second child, and both times I just waited till I felt ready.

it incredibly is fairly achievable to get get pregnant, so which you particularly need to apply condoms or get on beginning administration, in case you're 6 weeks postpartum your stitches could have dissolved a collectively as in the past. i think of at maximum it takes 2-3 weeks for them to vanish. it incredibly is achievable which you tore slightly, or if he bumped your cervix it ought to have brought about recognizing, I in many circumstances had some recognizing following intercourse in spite of everything my pregnancies, the healthcare expert reported it became via fact your cervix adjustments and there is extra blood circulate down there for the duration of being pregnant and at modern postpartum. i'd examine with him at your next appointment just to make certain. Take a HPT and with a bit of luck it incredibly is going to placed your ideas relaxed. I have been given pregnant whilst my son became 2 months previous, and we've been employing condoms, you do no longer would desire to have a era to ovulate, and you're a lot extra fertile at modern following being pregnant. stable success

Go ahead and give it a try. If you have pain or are uncomfortable in any way then stop and wait a few weeks. Remember to use birth control unless you want another baby this soon.

If you feel you're ready then go for it. We didn't wait 6 wks with our last 2 because I had no stitches and felt great after a few weeks. Just be aware that you're always very fertile right after giving birth so unless you're ready for another, use protection!

It would completely be up to you. First of all, did you have any stitches? I know I did with my first and it delayed my intercourse time drastically. (You can end up tighter than before the baby from tight stitches).

If not, try it. What's the worse that can happen? You have to stop and your husband goes and takes a cold shower.

You should be prepared for it to be uncomfortable.

It's up to you and how you feel. I made my husband wait until it had been 8 weeks before we had sex.
