I am 3 months pregnant with twins. My parents, who are both smokers (my mother is a chain smoker), are so excited. We all are. They keep saying how they can't wait to set up a room for the babies and start keeping them and having them over, etc, etc. Well, I have a problem with that because of them smoking in the house. My mom already has an attitude because I don't want her smoking around me while I'm pregnant (She always says "I smoked the whole time I was pregnant with you and your brothers, and you are all fine!" Yeah-not the point.) I don't smoke and neither does my husband. How can I tell them, without being cruel, that these babies will not be spending the night at their house because of all the cigarette smoke?

Im 38 weeks 3 days pregnant, i took some castor oil today and now im having really strong contractions, they arent really regular yet, but they are very uncomfortable, My OB said that at my next appointment if my cervix hasnt changed he will try to help it dialate and if that doesnt work they will do a c-section. I have scarring on my cervix due to a LEEP i had done, Im pregnant with number 3. And im stuck at 1cm dialated, 80% effaced. IF i go into the hos. Do you think they will see how uncomfortable i am, and help me along??? My cervix just doesnt want to dialate due to the LEEP. What do i do???

Me and my boyfriend had sex a few days ago and we used a condom but it broke!!! he hadn't *** yet but he did pre-***. i took the Day After Pill (Plan B) about 2 hours after but im still freaking out because what if it didnt work?(God forbid) Im supposed to be having my period soon and im feeling crampy

Any mom's out there give their babies breastmilk during the day and formula at night, I read having formula in their tummies helps them sleep better... Of course then people say it can give them tummy troubles.
Have you done this? What was your experience?

Ok.. Me and my boyfriend have been going out for almost 3 weeks. yes its short but see i love him i know i do! and hes leaving for texas in 17 days? and then we've talked about what we're gonna do.. and he wants to sleep with me and says he'll wait as long as possible til i want to because i'm still a virgin. but what the question is. How long do i actually wait til i give it to him you know? oo and hes gonna be gone for like either 11 days or 3 months.. i dont know which one it is yet.

I am having a baby in tabout two months. It is a boy and I don't have any idea what to name him. I have a daughter and naming her was easy, naming him has not been so easy. Im 36 weeks pregnant , for the last few weeks been having braxton hicks so know how they feel , I then today started getting back ache badly then shooting cramps in my tummy every 15 mins that was 2 hours ago at first they was painfull but not soo i was in agony , now there every 10 mins back ache is throbbbing it starts in my tummy like a cramp then round my back , is this labour helppppppppp

I don't want him going that far away from me, not just yet. They are wonderful people and we have a great releationship but i am just not ready to leave him that far away. They only come to see him once a month for a couple of hours, so he doesn't really know them. Is this fair to make him go stay in an unfamiular place with unfamiular people even though they are his grandparents. given this is my first child and i am very protective. I do think that he needs to have a relationship with his grandparents, but why do they think is has to be at their house and with out us there?

I had sex on 19 May, took the morning after pill th next day 20. Period also came on th 20th May. I now have dark brown/blackish looking blood almost, on my pants and when i go to the toilet it is on the toilet paper. It has lasted two days so far, my period isnt due till next week. What could it be, could i be pregnant?! Please help!

i'm due in december so i know i got a ways to go. i have been told that being pregnant sucks, that its wonderful, that it hurts, that u get all hormonal and weird and your body goes out of whack, and u feel really fat once u start showing, and an unmarried couple isnt healthy for the baby, is all this true or what? info from mothers please and thanks. and another thing my boyfriend is the father but we aren't married. should the baby have my last name or his? we plan to live together and raise it together once we get the money to get a place. we are 18.

okay moms when you were 37weeks how far were you dialated my doctor says it is normal to be only 1/2 cm dialated but i was hoping to be farther so he told me to walk alot and lots of sex also helps. is this true? i mean what helped you guys? any advise is great thanks so much.

My baby is 6 months (in a few days) and I'm finding that my milk supply is decreasing as she is getting older. I most definately don't want to stop breast feeding I love it. I decide to stop for a week and just pump and feed her I am hoping that this will help as I will do it every 4 hours for 10 minutes (on a duel) pump. I'm thinking that at least this way I can see how much she is getting.
My husband is home from work due to medical reasons so he is able to feed her so it doesn't make it to much work.
So the morning I breastfed her and then at 12 I pumped (only 3 ounces) I fed her at 1:30 (the pumped milk and 2 ounces of formula) is this going to work. Or does anyone has any other suggestions?

Here's the situation... My mother in law is pretty much obsessed with my unborn son. She is driving me crazy. She keeps clipping coupons for formula and shoving them at me every time I see her, even though I am ADAMANT about breastfeeding. I have told her time and time again I plan on breast-feeding, and bought a medela pump to make sure he can continue to drink my milk when I return to work. She keeps asking what brand of formula I want her to buy because "my milk will probably not come in" and I think it's all just a big scam because she wants to be the one to feed the baby every time she's around... and if I breastfeed she can't. She keeps saying my husband needs to come over to her house and get it "ready for the baby", even though I need him at home to help me with OUR house. She seems to think the baby will be at her house all of the time and it's starting to scare me. This is my 1st baby and I'm so excited for him, but scared of her... what can I do?

Hi, I've been reading about the morning sickness remedy of combining Unisom (doxylamine) and Vitamin B6 but I can't seem to get information on the dosage. Have any of you ladies tried this remedy, and if so, how did you take it?

I need specifics as far as amounts and also at what times of the day to take each, and if they are taken together at the same time. I hope this works for me. I've heard it is a Class A remedy and therefore very safe.

Nothing else I have tried works - ginger, crackers...you name it I tried it.
