I've fed my son in different positions on the clogged side, used a heating pad & massaged the clogged duct & it still will not unclog.

I just went through this last week.... I took a hot shower and massaged and I did not stop nursing on that side... It went away in two days....Good luck.

this happened to me and I thought I had breast cancer. LOL

it will go away, but try a hot shower and massaging it out. I know it's sore, but get in the shower once an hour to get warm water on it with a massage. If it doesn't go away soon, call your doctor. A clogged duct is no problem, an infected one is!

Try pumping some milk too. That may work.

Drink a ton of wter. Until you think you might float away. Seriously.

Then take a hot shower, as hot as you can stand. Massage the breast from the clog towards the nipple. It will hurt at first but after your breast should feel softer.

Then hot compresses.

Get plenty of rest! And did I mention? Drink LOTS of water.

Take care of yourself-

Most importantly-make sure you completely empty the breast before moving on...even if you have to use a pump-do this repeatedly in addition to the other good suggestions you have received. And I am sorry you have to experience this!

Try rubbing the hard duct while you nurse.

Also if you see any white blistery things coming out of your nipple you need to use tweezers and pull out as much as you can.
