Pregnancy & Parenting - 11 June 2007

I need to get some advice on how to get my 2 year old son to stop biting my older son! My older son never did it, but my youngest son does, and I need to figure out how to stop it before it gets worse. . . he gets very angry and will bite hard, should I just wait it out will he grow out of it? Is it only a phase? Please help !

Has anyone used similasan Eye drops in a child under 2? I can't get into my son's doctor till tomorrow and went to the pharmacy and found these OTC drops, but the package says safe for kids over 2 only. I don't want to do anything hurtful but want to relieve some of his uncomfortable symptoms.

My step father is extremely pro life and now thanks to his dumb *** so is my mom. I'm 14. And I want the abortion. I have to get it secretly or until after it's done. I want it soon so that I can enjoy what's left of my summer. I'm 8 weeks. They know I'm pregnant. If your going to push your opinion at me this isn't for you.

Someone I know, in their 30's, let her son have a sleepover for 11th birthday. Were about 5 boys altogether, watching movies and talking. The mother was in the house with them the whole time. She told them several times to get things quieter but told the boys they could stay up as long as they wanted. Three of the boys tired out and went to sleep at 2AM. Her son and the last boy went to sleep at 5 AM.
Her husband is away at school temporarily. He undemines her parenting skills anyway. He's never had any children and the 11 yr. old is my friend's only child. The other thing, they've only been married about 3 years. The husband told her the child shouldn't be allowed to stay up that late, that she is not a good parent, and she needs parenting classes. He also said before, the boy should be in bed by10 on Fri./Sat.-when there's no school. I've noticed the child is pampered(spoiled). I told her I would not give her a reply but put the question here and show her the results.

hey i am a father of 4 boys and recently we have had some problems over bed time.

their bed times are

13 year old = 9pm, lights out 9:30
10 year old 8 pm= lights out8:30
5 year old twins = 6:30 (lights out after finishing reading a story)


now these bed times havent changes since last summer when they all got an extra half hour and during the winter they where fine with it.

now my elder two are giving me real attitude and problems about it, the problem is because its summer time the sun does not set till 9:30 and its only getting later, they say its unfair to be going to bed when the sun is still up.

now before i start laying down the law, do these times seem ok? and should i just blow their complaints off as standard stuff. they get an extra hour during school hoildays but not on weekends, i took weekend times away due to them constantly argueing about them and not respecting the times, bed times are a real issue in this house

My cycles are always a VERY regular 28 days. My period was due yesterday, and I still have no sign of it. There's a very high possibility that I could be pregnant, and I haven't been under unusual stress (even about being pregnant) and I haven't had any unusual changes in diet and excersice. It's too early to have any concerns, right?

Hi all! My HCG level was at 819 at 4 weeks, 6 days (last Thursday). Two days later (Saturday) it was 2928! My doctor did another blood test today and should have those results tomorrow, but I just wondered if anyone had had a similar quick rise and what it may mean. Thanks!

I was very dissappointed this morning to find out my sons summer day camp did not provide lunch.... Only 2 snacks during the day. I ran to the grocery store and got him a lunchable but cant afford to do that every day plus they have no fridge and no microwave either. He doesnt like sandwiches. I can think of things to put in a lunch cooler like juice boxes and string cheese, yogurt, fruit, things like that but cannot for the life of me think of anything "main dish" besides sandwiches which my son doesnt like. Any ideas? Thanks

I bled for 5 days and when I went to the doctor the other day my hcg was 45. She suspects a misscarriage. I have had a previous miscarriage in Sept. Now the bleeding has completely stopped and she won't retest me until it has been a week? I think they should be able to tell if my level has gone up or down after 48 hours? I'm going crazy wondering if I am pregnant or not. Has anyone had that low of an hcg level and still been pregnant? My last period was April 27th.
