buy her a "baby" of her own, when you feed your little one she can pretend feed hers etc, or get her to bhelp by bringing wipes and diapers/nappies when you change the baby. praise her alot for being good and try and spend quality time together, like find time to read a story etc!

If your 3yr old is able to comprehend simple requests then by all means include her in your care for her young sibling. Such as when you are changing the newborns diaper ask your 3yr old to hand you the diaper, wipes etc. Tell her how much you need her help and thank her for it. She will feel important if you include her in your daily routine. I know this works because I have had 5 children and they were pretty much stair step kids. Their ages are 19, 18, 13, 12, and 11.

Well, this is perfectly normal. I would just say that you need to give the 3 year old attention too! I know that you know it already, but, its very important. Even if YOU can't play w/ her so much be sure that daddy or her grandma and pop do soemthing w/ her.Maybe them and her just go and get ice cream or go the pool or something! I hope this helps!!!!! Congrats so much on the baby! Congrats on the 3 year old too!!! I know they are just bundles of joy!!!! Have a great time w/ them... they grow up really fast!!!

Get her involved with the baby, even if it only getting the diaper to help mom out. Explain to her that her help and opinion is needed, by showing her she has a role with the newborn you are creating a bond. Let her hold the baby, of using a bottle help her feed it also. Instead of feeling left out she will fell as part of the situation, needed, appreciated etc.
