First off.. how can you say you hate it when you don't know what it means? anyway, I am completely pro-choice, which means that I think that women should be able to get abortions if they choose to. It isn't the government's place to tell you that you have to follow through with a pregnancy... I'm not saying I 100% agree with the concept, but I think everyone should have a choice.

"An abortion is the removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus from the uterus, resulting in or caused by its death. This can occur spontaneously as a miscarriage, or be artificially induced by chemical, surgical or other means. Commonly, "abortion" refers to an induced procedure at any point during human pregnancy; medically, it is defined as miscarriage or induced termination before twenty weeks' gestation, which is considered nonviable."

I think abortion should be up to the mother of the EMBRYO. It is her body, her life, her decision. It's something personal that everyone has taken and made into a verbal conflict. If I were raped or something like that, I would have an abortion. The embryo is NOT a fetus until after the third month.

There are several different types of abortion out there, you should do some research on your own, check out www.wikipedia.org and type in abortion for a general but thourough explination....wikipedia is a lifesaver.
This is one of those things like "what happens when we die?" that we really don't know for sure. The general debate is whether or not a fetus or an undeveloped living organism has a soul or whether it is painful for this undeveloped human embryo to be killed-there is no doubt something is dying, but is that something consciencous? You should make your own decision on where you stand. I remain undecided, but I'm open to discussion and new ideas. Personally though, I'd choose to have a baby and put it up for adoption-knowing that there are people out there who want children but can't have them.
PS. Even if something terrible like rape was involved, you could turn it into something good by giving someone else a chance to have a child. One terrible thing that happens in life should not lead to hatred of everything else, and it will only make the trauma worse in the end. Now if the raped victim is twelve and not big enough to carry a child without being injured or dying, there's another open question there-and how do you determine these things?

Ok, first of all, for everyone that answered her, I think she probably understood the first time someone said how can you hate something if you don't know what it is. Lol. Anyways, abortions pretty much killing your unborn baby. Whatever you wanna call it. And, I really am against abortion. Because, its not like its the kids fault that its there. So, if someone got pregnant and they didn't want to, I think that they should just have to suck it up and deal with having a kid, or at least put it up for adoption or something. Except in cases like rape, I guess the mother should have an option of abortion. Theres probably other cases like that too, but oh well. I still think it should be illegal. Maybe it'll teach people a lesson. haha. sorry. K, so thats my answer :)

Abortion to me is up to the woman. If she gets pregnant and tehre are reasons she cannot care for her child or cannot support the baby, was raped, ect., yes, please get one. We don't need any more poor, starving chldren that are exposed to drugs or the likes or have a hard time growing up. To me, that is worse then giving up your baby.
Another thing is that up to a certiant stage, it's nothing. It's a fetus and could develop into anything. But once it actually begins to develop a personality and is indeed a human and you're father than 3 months don't do it because that seems worse. You knew you were pregnant to begin with for some time.
Some people claim abortion is murder but in reality it's helping. I have a friend who is 16 years old and has a 2 year old son. She cannot support her baby, she struggles with it vbery much. She had to drop out of school and work two jobs to even buy the necessitys for the baby. Her parents are very christian and refused to let her get an abortion.
Again, it's the womans choice entirely and no one should look down on her for getting one.

It's bad to hate something when you don't even know what it is. That's bigotry. Thank you for asking. Abortion is when the embryo is removed before it can become a baby. If it's done in the first 3 months, it does not feel pain. It is painful for the woman, though, and she does have to recover for 6 weeks just like a pregnancy. .
Someone probably told you to hate it because they think that you don't have a right to stop the baby from forming once it's conceived. But they should only decide that for themselves.
It's not used as birth control. It hurts too much for that.

I feel like abortion is murder and should only be allowed in cases of rape or incest...basically what happens is the woman is given drugs to induce labor...then the technique depends on the dr and how far along the woman is...one technique is to deliver the baby feet first, stopping before the head comes out, then inserting a rod-like instrument in to the base of the brain severing the brain stem from the spinal column...the baby is then completely delivered once there is no longer a heart beat (if it's delivered before the heart stops it is legally considered murder)
you can google images of abortion and see the horrid pictures of what is done and how

I do not approve of it. i hate the abortion it self the murder of a child, but never the person.
abortion is legalized murder!!! the doctors that do these procedures are murders they make money on killing a living person.
what the doctor does is he/she numbs the vaginal area and with a big vacuum they rip that poor innocent baby from the mothers body and for the women that have abortions at later stages the doctor in deuces labor and they deliver the baby then kill it that is how ugly and hateful this world is. so read more on it go to your library and they have alot of information on abortion the "pros"and "cons" i don't believe there are any pros.
Jesus loves you he died so that you may live. do not destroy what God has created.
Abortion is a SIN!!!!!

An abortion is a medical termination of a pregnancy before the fetus has developed enough to survive outside the uterus. In the first twelve weeks, suction-aspiration or vacuum abortion is the most common method. Manual vacuum aspiration consists of removing the fetus or embryo by suction using a manual syringe, while the Electric vacuum aspiration method uses an electric pump.

Yeah, you cant hate something that you dont know what it is! It is basically after you are pregnant, they remove the fetus. People do this for different reasons such as they were raped, their bodies cant support it, they are too young to be pregnant, or sometimes people stupidly use it as a form of birth control. It is very bad for your body, but you should be informed of all of the facts before making a decision. It is a big issue because some people think it is murder, while others feel that the fetus is not a "person" before the brain works or heart beats, etc.
