I only came across one person who was upset when I used to feed my son, He was a fairly elderly man and he seemed rather outraged but instead of looking away he just kept on glaring at us!

If you do find it offensive can you explain why please?

I have bought tons of clothes there for my daughter. She is naturally small so I always have to go a size small for the bottoms. Now my son is the opposite. He is 8 months and has been wearing 6-12 months for awhile. I measured him and he is 27 inches long. I am trying to figure out what size top to get him. I am looking in the kid section, not the newborn. Right now he wears 6-12mos tops from old navy. But if I get him a onesie or a one piece outfit I have to get 12-18 mos cuz he is long in the torso. So my question is after this novel.... Do you think I should get 6-12mos top or 12-18mos. It is just summer clothes. I am doing it over the internet so thats why I'm asking...
Thanks!

I have a 10 month old baby girl and a 4 year old boy. Is it normal for the 4 year old to be mean to his sister? They both get the same amount of attention so I don't think it is jealousy. Which is what I thought at first. He usually does mean things to her when he thinks I am not looking. I caught him choking her, pushing her down when she is standing up in her playpen, pushing her butt when she is crawling and making her hit her face on the floor. Please give advice. And yes I believe in spanking and timeouts but they don't seem to be helping.

I feel like buying my daughter a toy today. If you were headed to the toy store right now and could get your 18-month-old one thing, what would it be? She has billions of books and art supplies, so I'm not looking for that sort of thing. She also spends about half of her day outside as it is, so I'm looking for something she can play with indoors. What has enthralled and occupied your child the most?

I am trying to think of boy names that begin with D that are not ordinary like David or Donald, but I don't want anything too over the top. I have one son now named Dylan. I'd rather not have to have a D name, but my husband is very stuck on naming all of our boys with D names because it is a tradition in his family that his father started. Any ideas?

I want to honor my russian heritage by picking a name that's traditionally Russian but I also want it to sound good in English (because we live in the United States) and in French (because my husband is French Canadian).

We both really like the name Nikita (which is a very traditional boy's name in Russia and other slavic countries). My only concern is that it seems to be a more popular name for girls than boys in the United States, and I don't want my son to have any problems as he's growing up.

As an alternative, we also like name Nicholas - but it's definitely more common.

I'd love to hear what everyone thinks.

my son bites me sometimes and sometimes it really hurts. I tell him no in a really stern voice and lately I have smacked him in the mouth very lightly. When he bites me he thinks it's funny. I'm beginning to wonder if someone has taught him how to do that. What should I do to get him to quit biting me and other people?

My baby is going to be Lebanese and white mixed. I would rather have an arabic name for my baby. Ameera means princess in arabic and I like it. But I'm considering Nadine too. I also need middle names because I dont like the traditional, dad's first name is the baby's middle name, thing. So please let me know.

I have a mommy friend who "knows it all" and is always recommending foods for me to feed my 16 month old daughter. They are often convenience foods that are filled with saturated and trans fats, and here on Yahoo, I have often seen people recommend mac and cheese as a toddler food. So are there any parents out there who think about the fats you're feeding your children, and do you choose other options?

me and my partner have chosen the names for when we have children. his surname is McKean.
for a boy - Fionnlay Tom McKean (pronounced Finlay)
for a girl - Ocion Aoife McKean (pronounced Ocean ee-fa) btw my dad is irish, so its important to me to have irish names in my children's names as a sign of respect. but what do u think?xx

My 13 month old is very social and actually a happy freindly baby. She actually loves people and needs someone around all the time. But lately she has become very clingy and sticks to my legs when I am working in the kitchen. It kinda gets to me coz I cannot get anything done.I tried giving her toys also giving her things from the kitchen like vessels and spoons but nothing seems to work.I do not want to carry her when I am around the stove but she just does not seem to listen.I have also tried ignoring her but it only makes things worse.
How did u deal with a clingy toddler.........please advice.
Thanks

Is it possible that the blood work was done too early to detect? I would be almost 6 weeks if I am pregnant. This would be my third child, so I am pretty aware of how this all goes. Just curious if anyone else has had a negative blood test only to find out later that they are pregnant?

My wife is going back to work part time, and our little girl is almost 3 months old. She will have a 30 to 45 minute commute.

Is it better to get a daycare closer to her work, or closer to the house?

Additional info: with the work location, she can take the HOV lane and ease the commute.

Thanks for the tips!

I would love to adopt a child, would like a baby but am not against adopting an older child. I cannot have children and I am curious as to how hard it is to adopt. What is the process and the cost of something like that?

Sometimes when I make the excuse that I'm afraid I'll drop the baby the parents just go ahead and thrust the baby into my arms anyway, correcting how I hold it. I didn't want to hold it in the first place lol. How do you politely decline to avoid a scenerio like that and avoid offending the new parents?

Hello, I have been married for 2 years and my husband and I said that right after our two year anniversary we could start trying to have babies. What he doesn't know is that I got off my birth control about 6 months ago.....in hopes that we might just get surprised a little early. Sometimes he doesn't pull outand sometimes he does...but we never use protection. It has been the start of the 7th month off birth control and nothing has happened. I have even had sex on the most fertile day of my month in the middle of the time when I'm ovulating and still I get my period every month. i'm worried that we will have trouble and he will be stressed that we won't be able to have babies as quick as the rest of his family who all thier children either quick or had them by surprise. He thinks that he has his family's "super sperm" but I'm starting to think we may not be compatible together to make children. Can you offer me any words of advice? Thanks for your help.
