Why not Ameera Nadine or Nadine Ameera. Trust me I understand not wanting the father's first name as the child's middle name.

I think it's kind of funny that everyone has their own opinions on names for whatever reasons......I think you should choose whatever name YOU want your child to be...no matter what you choose some people are going to hate it and some people are going to love it. Just make sure you don't choose a name that in this age, people are without a doubt going to make fun of.......like honestly an average person could not get away with having the name coco and not be made fun of growing up.
Ameera is pretty and honestly, I love Nadine just as much. I am a young mother and Nadine doesn't sound old fashioned to me.....my sister named her baby Emma Jean and it's gorgeous yet from the older years.

I like it! It's one of the cutest names from arabia and those other countries I've heard. Hmm Nadine I don't like so well... I think I like Ameera better than Nadine.. don't know what your choice and style of middle names are so if you gave us some middle names you were considering, that would be helpful.

I completely understand how you feel about giving the baby an Arabic name!
My family is Syrian/Jewish, even though my husband is white and I have found it very important to give our daughter a name that reflects her cultural heritage and upbringing.
My family also gives names according to respected members of the family (Esther was my grandmother's name).
I think Ameera is beautiful and your daughter will embody the beauty, respect and admiration of a princess! Nadine is also a nice choice.
We picked Aviva Marisol for our baby name. I compromised with my husband and let him choose a middle name so as not to feel left out in any way and this seems to have worked well. We both came up with something that we like and that has personal meaning.
Here is a list of Arabic based baby names and definitions: http://www.babynamenetwork.com/baby_names/origins/Arabic_baby_names.cfm
Hope this helps and congratulations!
