Depends where you live - in the Uk the law is that births have to be registered by the time a baby is 28 days old. Not all countries have compulsory registration of births.

In Vermont you have to fill it out in the hospital, i believe anyway that is what I always did.

Why would you not want one? lol.... it just states where and when the child was born and who the parents are.... it will make things alot easier in life
