Pregnancy & Parenting - 10 January 2007

I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my second. Yesterday, I noticed a snotty mucus on my undies resembling a gob of rubber cement. (Sorry so graphic!). Well today, I went to the doctor and she examined me and said the tip of my cervix is dilated a bit. A few hours after the doctor I noticed another chunk of mucus. I'm guessing this is my mucus plug. What happends next? I've heard I could go in to labor tonight, tomarow, a month, ect. Did anyone loose their mucus plug on their own? What happend over the next few hours?

I am a 16 old girl . my behavior and attitude are very good and my teachers always tell this to my mum .But for my surprise i found that mum doesn t trust me she searches my room alot she tries to listen to my telephone calls she tries to see the lists of calls and messages of my own mobile and she tries to know everything about me and my friends .This makes me very sad that I sometimes thing that I hate this detective person.IN addition to that i am not used to tell her everything i tried many times but i failed to make a good relation between me and her whenever i start a conversation with her she always says GO AND STUDY U HAVE NO TIME TO WASTE I am getting very depressed and i have many questions needed to be answered by anearby person and my friends are all busy having exams and i want to talk to someone.PLZ HELP

I just bought a lead testing kit from Lowes and found a couple of spots in my home that are positive for lead paint we live in an older house we've been renting for about 9 months now and my youngest is 8 months she's been living there her whole life. I'm starting to worry about both of my children (oldest is 3). If anyone has had any experiences with lead poisoning or know any information please let me know. Thank you very much.

So my 15 year old cousin told a young relative of ours that she might be pregnant and how can she get rid of it. I went away to college for two years, came back, and my sweet little cousin turned into a gorgeous bombshell that they boys kept asking out. Now i dont know what to say. I live 300 miles away from her, but we talk on myspace sometimes. How can I let her know that I'm there for her in a letter without seeming too nosy or pushy? I don't want to lecture her, she's heard that all her life. She's an orphan, mother died when she was 4 and father is in jail. I just want to be there for her as much as I can.

I am scared of natural birth, even though I want to do it as it is the right thing for the baby. Can I get some feedback from other mums that have had natural birth and cesarians.

My closest friend is always complaining that she wants an operation to tighten her vaginal walls, as she said they were ruined giving birth naturally to her son, and that she and her husband dont enjoy sex as much anymore (She ripped from front to back when she gave birth and required many stiches).. Do you think she is exagerating, or is it really true, sex is an important part of my life aswell and I want to still be able to enjoy it, if I give birth nautrally. I am interested on your opinions and personal experiences as honest as possible please.

I am 20 weeks preggo and my milk is already in full and ready to go...very early. someone I know has recently had a baby and her milk is not coming in- she asked if I would want to wet nurse until my child gets here.
I dont know about this, seems wrong for em to be doing it. I think that i wouldnt want o but wanted some other opinions.

The parents of the newest sextuplets hypocrites? They are Jehovah Witnesses, and won't allow blood transfusions to the babies. Doctors say they will probably need them. They used technology go have the kids, and won't use it in regards to blood transfusions. Do you think they're hypocrites?

My son is almost 6 months old. I have always just breastfed him. Up until about a month ago I always had plenty so I could pump if I needed to leave him & leave a bottle. But now I have NO milk to spare. Ive tried formuls & he willl not take it. I even tried mixing half formula, half breastmilk to help with the switch. If I dont figure something out Ill never get to leave the house without my son again! Is there anyway to get my milk going again so I can pump too?

What are the chances that the baby is ok. I'm 0-2 weeks pregnant, and although I didn't want to have anymore kids, I'm so excited yet scared. I have to get an ultrasound done on Monday (1/15/07) to see if the baby is inside my tube or if it is in the uterus. Do you have any advice?

My obgyn said I would probably be able to breast feed but wanted me to ask the pediatrician. I chose one that was recommended by more than 1 person. He said the only reason not to breast feed would be if you were HIV positive. Seems a little extreme. However I am already taking effexor now while preganant. I at least want to breast feed in order to ween the baby off of it so she doesn't go through withdrawls.

I am 9 weeks pregnant and my breasts are a lot bigger, and they are very heavy, but so far the scale says I haven't gained anything.

Did you gain any weight during your first trimester?

Should I expect a weight gain in the first 13 weeks or so?

well i went for my obsetrition appt today and she told me that im 31 weeks and gonna be 8 months in two days. and she said she knows this cuz my due date is march 12th. i know theres 9 months in a pregnancy altho my first born was 13 days late. so im thinking that if i am 8 months then theres only a month left till the baby comes which is 4 weeks, but 4 weeks would mean the middle of feburary....can anyone figure this out?

Not regular he can't get what he wants tantrums. He gets so angry about any little thing. He stomps his feet and he has thrown his toys when I wasn't in the room. He's 4 years old. I've disciplined hime but nothing is working.

She is the one who graduated high school, moved out in 5 days with a 26 yr old married man with a child. She has been barely surviving with nothing to live on. No food, no car, no money, no dental or medical since May. She has no job.
Today when I got the mail, I recieved a gas bill in her name at my home. Its $208 bucks. The gas company told me she asked for it to be mailed to my home and I promptly told them NO WAY! She apparently has had all of his utilities hooked up in her name.
She is so immature, its nearly impossible to explain anything to her. Now on top of everything else, she is ruining her credit before she even has her 1st full time job. This crap makes me sick.
Her "boyfriend" has pulled a slick one on her and she is so naive she cannot see the leaves for the trees. He lives in a dump trailer his parents own. No bills for him. I tried to find her today to tell her a bill collector was sending her mail to my house too. What on earth is she thinking?
