The difference is stark. Our 14 year old is not his biological child, but he's a good Dad to her in general. Our baby is almost 3 months old and while she's totally adorable, he'll almost do a cheer and a dance greeting her and have to be reminded to say something to our older daughter. He tends to be controlling sometimes and those types like to "punish" when you aren't their picture of perfect. He knows he's doing this and has asked me to pray, but everyday there is another example of who he favors more and I don't want my daughter to resent her sister. She's not noticing too much or complaining (from what I can tell) but if I were her, I'd be a p'd off little kid. Sorry so long, but thanks for reading and thanks for your advice.

p.s. YES he and I are in counselling...

When I was pregnant, nobody was happy in my husband's family. My mother was happy and the customers I took care of were happy for me, rubbing my belly and asking me a whole bunch of questions. Now that my sister in law is pregnant, my mother in law who is my husband's step mother rubs her belly and tells everyone. I don't get it, My mother in law told my husband that she doesn't like my sister in law. I feel very upset because I was pregnant twice and delivered twice nobody from his family was excited about my pregnancy and nobody came to the hospital. The only people who came to visit me was my husband and the marines. I do feel jealous, I know, but I don't think it's fair. I was depressed both pregnancies because of his family. They love our children, but what about the early days? Am I crazy about this, or should I feel upset.

I have been on a diet where I basically only ate 800 calories a day. Last month, my period only came a day and stopped. then I visited a nutritionist and she told me I am not having enough nutrient in my body and tried to adjusted my diet. I started to eat around 1400 calories a day because i am afraid i might gain the weight back, but i was told to eat 2000. then this month, my period is 10 days late. ( I have been eating 1400 calories for 3 weeks)

I have only had sex once last month, with protection and my bf double checked the condom and it was fine.

But i am still worried to take the test.

can i be pregnant or am i just lack in nutrients?

She gave me all of the details. We always use the withdrawal method. We had sex on days 7,8,10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, & 16 of her cycle. I ejaculated in her a little bit around day 10. She had sex with this other guy, using a condom, which did not break or tear or have semen seep out the sides on days 9 & 11 of the cycle. I asked the guy and he confirmed the truth. He doesn't think he is the father but will step up to the plate if he is. I will, too. I really think I am the one who got her pregnant, since it was very unprotected and also very frequent during her fertile period. Everyone else thinks so too. Just wanted some more opinions. Please don't bag on my girlfriend. I will probably not remain with her, but this is not about that. I want pregnancy opinions. Thanks very much.

My son is 3 years old and I know he is way too young to understand now but I worry about how I will tell him one day that my husband and the man that he calls daddy isn't his real father. His real father wants nothing to do with my son. I have tried so many times but he refuses to take responsablity for him. I am married to a wonderful man that loves my son as his own and my son loves him. I know one day he will want to know why we all don't have to same last name. What do I say? My husband does want to adopt my son but I still think we should tell him one day. When and how?

Within the past few days, I've been craving ice. I think that it's pretty weird because my teeth are EXTRA sensitive. Anyway, I've heard that craving ice is usual with pregnant women, but it could also be a symptom of iron deficiency. So far, the results of the tests that I've taken state that I'm not anemic. Could this quite possibly be just a weird craving and is there anyone else out there who is having or had the same craving?

My son is a wonderful boy and a happy and outgoing kid. When he gets frustrated or angry he doesn't deal with it very well. He likes to slam things or sometimes hit me. Everyone gets angry sometimes, it's how we deal with it that is important. What are some strategies of teaching my son to deal with anger in a positive way. I've tried encouraging him to count to 30 and take deep breathes etc. I've tried giving him an angry pillow where he's allowed to vent his frustrations. Nothing seems to help. Positive answers only from people who have experience similar situations. He does not have ADHD or anything like that. Just a phase we're having a hard time overcoming. Thanks
