The latest recomendation to give your baby the best chance in life is breast milk only for the first 6 months. Some people say that if you try to give a bottle too early (first couple of weeks), and you still want the baby to breast feed, you can have problems as the baby can get "nipple confusion" .
You can express and give breast milk in a bottle. It keeps:
room: 6 hours
Fridge: 3 days
freezer: upto 6 months
But the milk changes all the time, so it is better not to give your baby old milk anyway.
Having said that, I know that breast feeding can be a lot harder than anyone lets on, and both you and your baby have to learn how to do it right.
Just breast is best, but mixing is ok, and very common.

As everyone knows breastfeeding is best, so what you can give all the better.
My little one has been on mixed for the last couple of months because she wasn't putting on enough weight (she's now 5 1/2 mths). Do what is right for you, convenience wise both have their pros and cons.
What I would like to say is, breastfeeding is really tough at the start. I know I wasn't expecting it to be. It hurts at the start, babies go through growth spurts when it's so difficult to satisfy them. You never know if they are getting enough. It's draining physically and emotionally. But........... but.......... I promise it does get easier and I actually find it a pleasure now.
There's no problem mixing it up when you need a break. Remember if you're stressed, your milk knows it. Try out some different brands by using some of the ready-made cartons to see which works best. Also, not sure if just lucky, but my little girl has no probs switching from breast to bottle and back again which is another advantage.
Good luck

bear in mind, in case you're feeding from the breast, no remember the place you bypass you do not would desire to complication approximately protecting the milk refrigerated and it will constantly be pre-warmed to the the main suitable option temperature. As for wellbeing advantages, my understanding is that breast milk is extremely stronger to even the main suitable formula. in case you think of you would be uncomfortable feeding in public, it would desire to be achieveable so you might feed breast milk from a bottle. Why could that freak you out? this is thoroughly organic. there is likewise a sprint study meaning that the exterior to pores and skin touch of feeding right now from the breast (fairly than breast milk in a bottle) is important for a mom's psychological wellbeing, the it promotes bonding and lowers costs of postpartum melancholy. it would desire to be achieveable to do the two bottle and breast, yet that relies upon on the toddler. some books recommend that in case you elect to objective to do the two, you will desire to first ascertain that the toddler gets used to breast feeding completely for the 1st 2 weeks or until the toddler can reliably latch on and drink to fullness. Then gradually introducing bottles (of formula or ideally of pumped breast milk) would artwork. you would be able to additionally elect to look into the particular bottles the place the circulate gadget is designed to be extra like the breast, which persons look to assert makes it extra straightforward for the toddler to take the two

i mix fed both of my children from first one from around 6 weeks and second one from around 4 months onwards as i was returning to work, i found it worked very well and enjoyed being able to carry on feeding my children when i was home. I think if you introduce a bottle to early it can make it harded for your body to produce enough milk this is what i found with my first child and why i waited until later with the second who is now 6 months old and still breast feeds at night and morning

Of course it is, If you have a new baby you must be drained babe. Continue with the breast much as you can coz the babe will get all your antibodies against infections etc. but if you feel the need to boost the babies intake with bottles why not. I would start weaning the babe off the breast about 6-9 months so they dont cling to much and also they get their first teeth then and can hurt. I hope you are happy with she/he because you dont say, but good luck love and be a good mum and do your best. best wishes Pauline.

Its perfectly fine. Its even okay to pump your milk and put it in the bottle and never have the baby eat from your breast. Its also perfectly fine to only use formula or even both formula and breast milk. What ever works for you AND the baby

I feed my son a bottle at night and nurse him during the day. He eats so much during the night that I would be up every hour with him so formula satisfies his hunger. So different from my 2 daughters...I nursed them exclusively for 6 months.

absolutely fine too much fuss is made about what you can and cant do. they are tough little cookies. different countries different recommendations, how did the human race survive up till now without all this advice. if you eat something that doesn't agree with you, you throw it up, a baby develops in the same way, i am not saying throw caution to the wind but, common sense prevails you will not harm your child providing both.

breast fedeing is better, as you will pass on immunities to the child (although they will be very weak ones) and will give your baby a better health in later life. Wait until the child is slightly older before bottle feeding.
