I'm 20yrs old and so is my husband, we are high school sweet hearts and we are VERY MUCH IN LOVE! I'm ready to complete our family with a child, but my husband wants to wait a little longer. We own are own home, cars, etc. We're not in debt. and I feel like we can do it, but I think he's just scared. To be honest, I think what is keeping him from wanting a baby now is that he hates Male OBGYN's, he wants no other man to ever see me and I know he's scared that something will go wrong on delivery day and a man could possably end up in the delivery room. I feel the same way about wanting only my husband to be the only man to ever see me, but I believe that if you say NO male doctors the hospital will respect your wishes. HOW DO I CONVIENCE MY HUSBAND OF THIS?

during labor and delivery what are some of the procedures they do?
like, do they do ultrasound? measure my belly? fetal heart monitors [straps, i think they're fetal heart rate monitors] and just feeling around the belly?

if they feel around my belly, do they feel lower, or higher up? does it hurt?

with the belly strap fetal heart rate monitor thingy, they've never done it to me before, i've just seen it on tv shows like "a baby story" what do they feel like? its tight? where on the belly do they position it?

I have a 4 1/2 old son that sucks his two middle fingers and puts one on his cheek. He has a sore/scar and I can't keep his fingers out of his mouth he keeps putting them in when he is not around me. I have tried almost everything.

I know there is a wide range of ages for when different children have been potty trained (seen from 11 months to 4 years as extremes).
How do you know if a child is ready to be trained mentally and physically? What traits would they need to exhibit to show they are ready to be trained?
And if you really feel like typing more, any suggestions are always welcome for how to go about it :)

This all started with them before my son was ever born. My fiance's mom always makes comments that irritate me when it comes to our son. Like for instance when we signed up for a gift registry for our baby shower she said our stroller looked cheap. I don't understand as to why these things even need to be said. We also got christmas pictures of him and she said she liked everything but the binky in his mouth. I won't go on an on here because there are many more things but my fiance says I take things too personally, am I? And also they will be coming here for a visit how can I deal with all this, should I keep my mouth shut if something bothers me or stand my ground a little bit?

i am currently 37 weeks and dialated to a 1 so far. my dr said if i havent gone into labor by the 18th she is going to induce me. i am having pain in my stomach about an inch above my portruding navel, lol. anyone know what this is? is there just no more room an thats why it hurts? i thought it was becasue i was hungry but i ate something and it hasnt helped. anyone had or have this same pain before?

I went for a ultrasound today but the way how the baby was laying they could not tell. Well I was having mu ultrasound the lady said I was having mild contractions. Has anyone experanced this. She did not even call my dr.

I am 9 months along and a little over 1.5 cm dilated and been losing a thickish white mucus substance for a few weeks now. I just started to get a dark pinkish color to it. I am wondering how big is this plug is. I lose big clumps at a several times durring the day. I asked the doctor in the beging he said its normal but now it dark pinkish. Is it any sign of how soon i may go into labor?

My nephew is 6 years old. My sister, every night has a battle with him to eat. She has tried almost everything.... From having him sit at the table until he trys something, taking away things he likes, guilt, long talks, nothing will work. He stands his ground. She takes away all snacks, until the dinner is tried, but this does not bug the child. He eats a good breakfast and lunch, but dinner is a mess. He will not eat meat or veggies. Yogurt, PPJ, is his main menu...He is very healthy, energetic and not underweight.... does anyone have any suggestions or help. My sister is at the end of her rope. Your help is greatly appreciated.
