Throughout your pregnancy, you're going to have small contractions. Sometimes, they're cause by sex, by exercise, or by fear and adrenaline. Later in your pregnancy, they can be caused by Braxton Hicks contractions. There are a lot of times that you will have contractions, and until you start having Braxton Hicks, you probably won't even know.
Unless your doc is worried about it, I wouldn't worry about it, either, okay?
Congrats on the new baby.

Braxton Hicks, or false labor is common at your time of pregnancy. These are fake contractions that are readying your body for the real thing. Don't worry unless you start to have really hard contractions that are 3-5 minutes apart and regular. Drink some water, lay back, and they usually stop.

You'll have those contractions, braxon hicks, clear up until delivery.
Theyre perfectly normal. They can even be a little painful or uncomfy as time goes on.
If you ever notice them, lay down, drink some water, and they will go away.
If they dont slow down after laying down and drinking a glass of water, and you have more than 6 in an hour, THEN you call your OB.
But, as it is, nothing to worry about.

Yes! I am 20 weeks as well and have had a few minor contractions. When I asked, my doctor said that it is just 'practicing' and getting in shape for the real thing. As long as they aren't really painful or get closer together, you shouldn't worry, it is perfectly normal. Avoid stress, I found that helps me not have them as much. Sorry you couldn't tell if it was a boy or girl. Mine is a boy! :) Good luck and Best Wishes!

yes this is normal. your body is just perpairing iiself for the longer stronger ones you will be experiencing later on during your labor. The contractions you are having now are called braxton hicks contractions! you may even start to feel them a bit it won't feel very much like paid during this time but like tightening in your abdomen area. this is very very normal!!!!
