each woman is different. some women have many days of fertility, while other women only have a matter of a few hours of fertility -- per month.

Fertility is characterized by mucous-like fluid in the vagina. Sperm can survive in this mucuous for up to five days, depending on the health of the sperm and the quality and quanity of the mucous. Further, the sperm uses the mucous to literally swim up the vaginal canal and to fertilize an ovum. If the woman ovulates within those five days that the sperm survives, then there is a very high likelihood of pregnancy.

So, the trick is for the woman to recognize her days of fertility and when she is ovulating. If you have sex during infertile days, (when there is no mucous present in the vagina, and thus the sperm dies within a few hours) you obviously cannot get pregnant.

This is a learning process, but one hundred percent effective, safe, and natural. It is called the Billings Ovulation Method. You can use this method to avoid pregnancy, or to conceive.

I'd say never or unless you hit menopause, but there are times in the month that you are not ovulating, usually it's between day one to day 10 right after your monthly cycle. You have to talk to your doctor and monitor your hormon and temprature level for at least 3 months to get an accurate timing, because even if you're off a day you'll get pregnant.

Either way, it really is not a wise choice to have unprotected sex if you don't want to get pregnant. At least make sure he withdraws every single time to lower the risk. Even with this method you still can get pregnant.

there is no guarenteed 'safe' time to have unprotected sex without the risk of falling pregnant. Having unprotected sex can provide you with other risks aside from pregnancy, including STDS which can occur at any time! Why take the risk of becoming pregnant or contracting an STD with unprotected sex - use protection!

There is NEVER a "best" time to have unprotected sex without risking getting pregnant... You just don't have sex, or you are always at risk for getting pregnant.

There really is NO good time to have unprotected sex without risking getting pregnant. Not only that, but you'd risk catching any number of STD's...

There is a way (please keep in mind that it is NOT effective!!!) that a woman kinda "charts" her cycles and knows when her body is most fertile and when it's not. However, this is NOT recommended as a method of birth control...

Unless your menstrual cycles are very regular all the time, then there is no good time for unprotected sex to avoid pregnancy.
Nor should you be having unprotected sex as a general rule if you and your partner wish to avoid sexually transmitted diseases like AIDS, herpes, syphyllis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, HPV, etc.
Remember, every person you have unprotected sex with is like having sex with every partner that person has ever had. It's just not a a good idea.
Condoms are cheap and easy to use. AIDs is forever.

Unfortunately, there's never a "Best Time" if you don't want to worry about getting pregnant. Getting pregnant is all about timing when the egg drops, when the sperm meets the egg, etc. etc., but there are a lot of factors that can cause a woman to ovulate such as stress, or hormones, change of diet ... so she could ovulate when you least expect it.

If you don't want to get pregnant, then don't have unprotected sex. It's that simple.

Well, as many people say, never. You can take some risk in having sex right after your period for about a week, then you should stop. This is what my fiance and I do and we have 0 pregnancies in 5 years.
