Yes as long as it is comfortable, and your bleeding doesn't increase after wards.
The 6 week rule was made up by chauvinistic male OBs who think that women are too dumb to know their own bodies.

I can't imagine wanting to have sex 3 weeks after giving birth but if you really want to risk it...
Be sure and use protection though because not only is there a huge chance you could get pregnant again but there is also a huge chance you could get some crazy infection. I've heard many women talk about NOT wanting sex way past the 6 week doctor recommended waiting period...

Not a good idea, but not the end of the world if you do.
Use protection...after having a baby you are your most fertile, even if you havent had a period.
Its best to wait at least 5-6 weeks post partum or until your dr says you can resum sex....to reduce the risk of infections.

You should not have sex that soon. You need to see your OB/GYN so they can make sure you have healed up or you risk a terrible infection.
For the record I waited the full 6 weeks and the sex hurt so bad I literally cried. So I think you are crazy to want to risk it so soon. But, I guess before I actually did it I thought it would be fun.

If you delivered vaginally, you may want to wait a little longer, or at least until your doctor has given you the "okay" to have sex. I'd be surprised if a woman actually wanted to have sex 3 weeks after a vaginal birth, but it can happen.

Doctors usually recommend waiting 6 weeks that way you are completely healed if you delivered vaginally and the risk of infection is lower. But if you are up to it then do it but know that there are risks and use birth control because you can get pregnant.

I believe you are supposed to wait up to 4 weeks if you've had a cesaerian and 6 weeks if you given birth naturally
