I remember what it was like in high school and i never caved into pressure. I am not judging you because you are a teenager, i only give advice on here about birth control if your going to have sex.. Just because everyone else is doing it does not mean you have too. Just like i had friends that smoked pot they would keep on asking me to jit it but did i? No.
I had sex when i was 16 but i did get on birth control and i married the guy that i lost my virginity too. We have been together for almost 12 years.
If you are mature enough to have sex and be on birth control then i think everything is alright. After all it is your life. Good luck

Ok first, What? You obviously should concentrate more on school than on having sex with your boyfriend. You know I remember being a teenager. I remember hating my parents for grounding me and having strcit rules. You know what? I am so grateful for them now. Looking back, I don't know how my parents ever put up with me and I only pray that my children are nothing like I was. But if they are, guess what? They will get grounded and I will be just as strict. You will see when you are a parent. Until then, be happy you have parents who care about your well being and are there for you. Being a teenager and growing up is about experiences, however it is also about being guided by PARENTS and ADULT figures to help you in the right direction.

Well DUH...You can not even WRITE or make a complete sentence, or a Question that makes sense...NO OFFENSE.
We are just worried about YOUNG ADULTS, youth and Adolescents (all the same thing???) Today.
So this guy you are dating for the last two years...Are you 18 or older?
Is he?
Because if you are under 18 and he is older than 18, see, then there is some concern allready, that is called STATUTORY RAPE.
And Generally, I only know this as I am a guy, ALL MOST GUYS CARE ABOUT around that age is ONE THING...And they do not CARE at all if they hurt you.
Now if it is a boy your age, if you are being SAFE...Well who gives a crap...
But you know, if you are under 18 or unable to support yourself, then many would be concerned, as we are tired of giving money to the sSTATE for WELFARE, for YOUNG MOMS with BABIES...or BABIES WITH BABIES as it ultimately is, WHO CAN NOT afford them, Nor do they know the first thing about raising them...
So if you are Having sex, unprotected, or are with a man like TWICE your age, or EVEN IF YOU ARE HAVING SEX before MARIAGE...
WHY SHOULDN'T PEOPLE BE CONCERNED ABOUT YOU?
Do you just wish NOBODY CARED?
I think you should ne HAPPY that someone DOES CARE ABOUT you and your WELL BEING.
Besides, you may be A YOUNG ADULT, but that does not mean THAT THERE IS NOT AN ADULT who needs to look after you BY LAW.

Besides, Going out HAVING SEX is not GROWING up!!
No matter what you may think, HAVING SEX does not MAKE YOU COOL!!!
Maybe a , well I do not want to use that type of language.
I am actually trying to be NIOCE, even though my first sentence was sorta CRUEL!!! and MEAN...
Having SEX does not make you all grown up.
Having sex for the wrong reasons is not cool.
Being PRESSURED into having sex is not cool, and can be considered RAPE!!!
Letting your FRIENDS CONTROL YOU, or WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR LIFE and YOUR BODY is not COOL...It just shows me that you are WEAK, Insecure, have LOW SELF ESTEEM, and NO SELF CONFIDENCE...And that you HAVE TO DO THINGS like HAVE SEX to gain your friends approval.
That is just NOT RIGHT.
I was gonna say STUPID, but again, I do not want to be that cruel.
DJ

We remember very well what it was like in high school but with time we have learned things that you still have no idea about. We don't judge teenagers.. you'll look back and realize that most adults were right when you were younger. You don't know everything even though you think do. Most adults try to help teenagers see this but they think we are judging are them. You'll see in a couple years. I'll place a bet right now that you wont be with that boyfriend you have now a year after you graduate.

I am totally on the same page with this. Why do we tell kids that they are too old for trick or treating and Santa, but don't do anything grown up either?

We constantly exploit our youth by bombarding them with adult images selling everything from deodorant to toothpaste, and we expect them to be unaffected by it. It's unfair and outrageous.

That being said, it would be wise for you to wait until you are of a legal age of consent before you go making choices like this. Besides damaging your own self and self esteem, you are putting the guy you love in jeopardy as well by being underage and being with him. He could wind up in jail.

Rebel against the media demands for you to grow up too quickly. All they want from you is your money anyway.

Many of the adults around you may all too well remember what it was like to be in high school and what peer pressure is all about. Some people never recover from some of the bad choices that they made as teens. That's probably why they don't want you to grow up too fast.

Once you grow up, you're one for the rest of your life, and you only have a small window of time to be "just a kid". Enjoy it while it lasts! Good luck!

I'm 21, I have heard this from other people, but never directed to myself. Maybe it's the way you react or the way you write that people will think you are still a child. It's the way you look and act that makes people attack you. When you talk to your parents like this they know how you are, you are acting like a 2yr old with a tantrum. Show people respect and they'll return it. Don't listen to other teenagers, that's peer pressure if they want you to do something you don't want to do. Have respect for your family, they are the only ones who care about you.

Maybe 'ppl' would stop judging you if you grew up and learned how to spell. Am I the only teen on this site that's not a moronic chatspeaker? I can hardly understand what this chick's saying.

Unless you are 18 you would be considered a teenager... when you turn 18 - 19 then you can be a young adult.......

You look at that spelling, and wonder why you are judged? Teenager or not, that's just ridiculous.

Growing up doesn't mean having sex. It means being responsible for your actions.
