I don't know how to answer this. Everyone I know thinks that I am an amazing parent. And that is not just "tooting" my own horn. I am the mother of a 13yr old terminally ill little girl and a 7 month old son both are my life. I am pulled in so many ways I am more a nurse to my daughter on many days and a mommy to my 7 month old who can not understand that his sister is different. Some days I just want to break down and cry but like most moms I cant. My husband tells me every day I'm a great mother, my daughters Dr's have told me that I'm a great mother but I just don't see it, I'm just a mom like the rest of us. I'll give myself a 8 because if I was a 10 I'd be able to distribute my time equally between both my kids and I cant. And if I was a 10 I'd be able to tolerate my step daughter who can just set me on fire at the site of her.

To be honest I would have to say that most people are the exact same way...if they're being completely honest.
I feel like a "10" when my little guy crawls up into my lap hugging me with all he has, telling me that we are "good best friends" (he's 3)
At the same time, when things get stressed and I yell when I maybe shouldn't have, or given time out when it might not be warranted, I feel like a 2ish.
When I feel badly about how things have been going between my little guys and I, I take the time to evaluate it...figure out why I did what I did, and then take time to do something special with my little guy, making sure I take the time to apologise for what I did and make sure that it never happens again.
I felt absolutely horrible in the beginning when I first started having to discipline our little guy, but talking to other Moms what I was going through was/is completely normal.

I used to consider myself a 9 until I got married. Yes, I was a single mom, but I thought we were doing pretty well. My husband's opinion and perception of my parenting has grossly effected my self rating. Some days I still feel like a 9. Today, he's got me leaning towards a high 4.

Some days I feel likeI could host a parenting talk show other days not so much. It is the little victories that make it all worth while.

I would say when I'm down on my daughters level, playing with her and interacting with her, I feel like a 10. When I'm stressed out and tired and I snap at her, I feel like a -10!

I THINK THAT'S HOW MOST OF THE PARENTS FEEL. SOME DAYS YOUR ON TOP AND SOME DAYS ON THE BOTTOM. SO THAT AVERAGES OUT TO MAKE US AVERAGE AND THAT'S NOT BAD.
