-Graco makes a great stroller and infant seat.
-Britax has a great line of toddler car seats, they can be used rear facing for babies 5 pounds and up.
-I got our crib at Target and it is made by Bassett, it is sturdy and has held up great for 3 years of use. Also, it wasn't crazy expensive.
There is a lot to choose from. My advice is to go out and shop and look at the stuff for yourself. Pick it up, feel the padding. Shake the cribs and see if they are wobbly. Just because something is cute doesn't mean that it is the best quality. Also, the most expensive things are not always the best either.
Good luck and welcome to motherhood!

It just really depends on the style and look you want. By law all cribs, car seats and such must all pass the same testing. My sons crib is a Storkcraft's Aspen Stages Crib, car seat is the Cosco Alpha Omega Elite 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat. Like I said just go by what you like all cribs, carseats and such must meet certain standards in order to be on the market in the US.

Ignoring the behavior doesn't discourage it. It is easy to think that if they are doing it for attention, not giving the attention will make it stop. Usually the opposite happens though. Ignoring it says that it is okay, and when you do eventually do something about it, it can be confusing since she has been able to do it before. Teach her that those items are for the baby, and emphasize the things that she has that are uniquely hers. I don't know if getting her something new would be the best idea or not, but be patient and consistent. Good luck.

hi all car seats have to pass rigorous tests before they can go on sale so none are really any better than an other. Some are more comfy, some nicer looking, its really up to the parent WHAT DO YOU LIKE and what price do you like. click the link below and you may get some ideas. good luck to you and your new family.

Personally I love Graco...they've been in the baby business for decades and have products for every wallet.
Check here as well... http://www.consumersearch.com/index.html
Are there friends of yours that are parents already? Take them shopping with you. (not your parents...not trying to be rude here...but generally our parents tend to hold the belief that the standards of todays products are more guidelines..."The stuff we used for you was alright...you survived" type of attitude)
But last tidbit of advice...whatever you buy, they ALL come with registration cards...fill them out and send them in (or register online...) if what you've bought ends up being recalled, tehy will get in touch with you with regards to the recall.
