What are the very 1st signs of pregnancy? and what should i avoid to avoid a miscarraige?

I have only had one ultrasound since I have been pregnant and it was at about 24 weeks. I am at 34.5 weeks and I know that the baby is supposed to be in position for birth by now. It feels like the baby is laying sideways...like her butt is protruding into the left side of the uterus and her arms or something protruding the other side...Is it normal to only have one ultrasound? Should I expect/ask for another one? Will the doctor tell me simply by feeling next week at my appointment if the baby is positioned correctly for this point in my pregnancy?

her Miralax only 1/2 tsp everyday, RX by the pediatrician and then I recently started giving her the canned manderin oranges and that seems to really help? anyone had the same experience?

I have a NASTY sinus cold, which would be ok if crash on the couch with the tv on, but I have a 5, 3 and 1.5 year old AND am 6.5 months pregante! Anything to help clear my head, yet is still safe for the baby would be nice!!! Thanks so much!!!

i had my period on the 19th of november i usually have a 30 day menstraul cycle when is the best time to have sex? i had sex 15 days after my period started but is that too early seeing as i have a longer cycle?

My 3 month old daughter has been having these bouts of unprovoked crying lately. It happened once about a week or so ago and last night and then again this afternoon. Here's how it goes:

She is tired (but not exhausted tired) so we go through our routine before bed (or nap) and then I lay her in her crib as usual. Normally she goes to sleep with out a single fuss...but these few time she has gone into these fits of SCREAMING like I'm killing her! She will stop instantly if picked up and held. If I go in there and put her bink in her mouth she'll just keep screaming, doesn't even want it. I'll make sure every basic need is met, fed, dry, gas drops...everything. I don't know why she is doing this. Last night I finally let her cry herself to sleep after almost 4 HOURS of her crying, me trying to soothe her, then she cried 30 min solid when I let her cry herself to sleep.
What am I supposed to do? Should I just leave her crying?? What is causing this?

Called and made an appointmet with Doctor's, the receptionist told me beccause I had a negative result I am probably not pregnant so she couldn't get me in for another two weeks. I just want to know for sure if I am or not.

At 4 years old Im now expecting our child to look like me, but she doesn't.. and I have a feeling she cheated on me and I may not be the dad. Is it normal for a kid not to look like their dad? Or should I kick her out and go for full custody?

i was suppose to start my period on the 3rd. my stomach hurt and i eat alot more than normal and today i have a real big headache. also my grandma and my mom told that i look pregant because im getting wide whatever that means. i took a test last week and it came out negative. i cant go to the doc til the 15 that's when i get paid. ur honest answers would really help me out!!!! thanks

My sister works with my niece after school on her list of important words and my niece will get a word, but after a few minutes when my sister goes back to it, she will say that she doesn't know it. Instead of taking 15 min to learn her words, it takes her 2 hours to learn them. She also won't listen with simple chores around the house. My sister is tired of yelling and has tried time outs for both of them and has also tried to do everything she can to make my niece part of things by playing with her and giving her responsibilities. There is a new baby on the way. Could her "selective hearing" just be another form of jealousy?

I am working fulltime at a law firm and going to school at night, I take acting classes. My ultimate goal is to become an actress. My fiance, is very supportive of whatever decision I make. He understands that the goal I have set for myself are very important to me. I don't believe in abortion, but on the flip side I want to be able to dedicate everything to any child I may have. The though of aborting the pregnancy has come to mind. But I really don't want to do this. But having this child will hinder me from accomplishing my goals. Please dont answer just for points, this is a very importnat matter to me. If you were in my position would you keep the baby or abort the pregnancy?

I have done something I am not terribly proud of.
About 5 months ago my longterm fiancee toldme she was pregnant, I had NEVER wanted to have the baby as it would have meant the end of my life, however I foolishly went along with it and then last week she said she had miscarried.
I consoled her in our time of loss and then......
when i went to the a bar tomeet my friends and I shouted " I am not going to be a father anymore everyone the drinks are on me",
At which point i just noticed my girlfriend and her parents across the bar from me.
I want her back as I think she was selfish to have the baby without my say so. I am 18 years old and all i wanna do is party with my friends is that too much to ask. ?

At my baby's last checkup, the doctor checked the top of her butt for what she called a "dimple". She said that the baby didn't have one, and said "that's good". I asked why she was checking for it, and she just said that it can be indicative of other things. Does anyone know what these "other things" are? Can it be something serious? Which of the following are abuse?

1. Feeding a child only unhealthy food because it's easier than trying to get him to eat healthy.

2. Dressing a child in clothes that make her look like a hooker.

3. Having a boyfriend over to have sex in a living room with no door where children cannot go to the bathroom in the night w/o seeing what's going on.

4. Telling a child you will pick him up on a given day then not even calling, not answering your phone, and finally answering and telling him you can't pick him up becuse you're drinking?

5. Letting a child engage in destructive behavior rather than make the effort to correct it.

List all the ones you consider abuse, also I'd like to hear any you've seen or experienced that are truly damaging to a child but would probably not be labeled abuse by a court.
