I am a stay at home mom of a 3 year old and a six month old. Since having my daughter my son has gotten so much meaner and ruder. Hes always telling me No and hitting, taking toys, and plain just ignoring my every word. I have tried taking toys, time outs, spankings, putting to bed, removing tv. Hes just getting worse. I do not know how much more i can take. I dont know if its jelousy, his age, all the new things in his life-ie the baby, potty training, sharing, etc. Any ideas that i have not already tried? I am a mother at her wits end please any advice is welcomed. Please no rude comments or downgrading my parenting skills. Thanks for the advice

Mainly it's the first finger on his left hand..he's done it practically since birth, but obviously didn't do too much damage before he got teeth, but now it always looks quite red and sore,.. can anyone suggest anything to get him to stop, or anything to help protect the area?

I have nothing against women breastfeeding in public, whether they should do so or not, is not what this question is about.

Premise: So I sit down in a Cafe in a comfy seat, I obtain a tea that I normally sip at a pace that makes it last about an hour. Right next and to the left of me sits a woman with a pram and friend, she orders and then she proceeds to conduct "Operation Feed Baby". Now I am just sitting there, there is no way I am about to move, I'm not in the way. It felt like having an elephant sitting next to me while I deliberately tried to not see the elephant.

I am only fifteen, so in other words, i am broke. I already spent most of my money on my mom, because her birthday is the day after christmas. I have already told my family that their gifts will be coming after christmas (because that is when i will receive what i call "grandma's guilt money", and that is what i usually buy gifts with) But i still have a little money and i wanna get the girls something. Problem is that i just spent some $65 on them for their birthday (Nov. 18). and i don't wanna not get them something because they are little kids that think that i am like the coolest person in the world. So, any ideas???? O yeah, and it has to be something original, because they have a lot of family already that will be getting them some stuff, so it can't be anything like a barbie doll or something

Help* How should a 12-year-old girl behave? My mother and I both believe in tough love per-say. But my 12-year-old sister just doesn't have any Respect for anybody. She has always been stubborn like the rest of the family. But the real trouble began just about 7-8 months ago. Since than, we've caught her smoking, 3 miles away from where she was suppose to be at 1 a.m., talking inappropriate and cussing... The list goes on and on. We have grounded her from the phone, TV, the computer, the PS2 and friends and curtain activities. But nothing seems to be working. What should we do? How should a 12-year-old girl behave? Help*

Basically have been told by many medical people throughout my pregnancy that I would be better off with a second ceserean due to symphasis pubis dysfunction. I saw a consultant yesterday who apparently claims I have no medical reasoning behind a ceserean, although I have been told I could do more damage than good going for a normal birth?! If I have an epidural I may not be in control of the pain I "need" to feel with my pelvis. I am only 5 weeks from my due date wih no birth plan and no help it would seem from anywhere!! please help people :-)

Everyone's always blaming the government and advertising, but if parents just fed their kids healthy food from when they were little there'd be less of a problem. They don't know what's good for them so they need to be taught it, and yes, before they even go to school because they still understand things. It might be hard when you've got a kid screaming that it wants something but eventually they'll get used to it, and what's more important? giving them what they want right now? or making sure they have what's best for them long term? because when they grow up I'm sure they'll regret being allowed to eat whatever they wanted.

The first day of my last menstrual cycle was 10/26/06. After being 7 days late for my period, I took a home pregnancy test which was negative. I then had a blood test done which was also negative. I'm now 40 days into my cycle (regularly 28). Should I wait to see if I miss my next period?
I don't have a lot of signs of pregnancy, just heartburn, harder stools, and swollen breasts. I've been doing a lot of research and I still don't know what the chances are that I could actually be pregnant. PLEASE! Everything helps!

Okay this is the first year that I am getting all of my shots done, as I tend to get sick alot. Reason being I just had my daughter and I don't want her to get all the crap that I get.

Does anyone know if there is a way to head of Chronic Bronchitis, Chronic Pneumonia (other than the shot), Chronic Strep Throat and the Flu without getting all of the shots, or sequestering myself indoors?

My immune system is low and I would love some information on this as I can't find alot of this online.. Maybe I'm not searching right I dunno... But help would be great.
