Im almost to my due date, Friday. For some reason I didn't sleep last night and all day today I've felt so sad... almost like discouraged. I know during pregnancy hormones are crazy but I don't wanna feel this way. I've had a very happy pregnancy, I'm just ready for it to be over, I'm ready to hold my baby in my arms. I've found myself crying several times today and I don't know why. I guess I don't really have a question I just need to express my feelings. But anything I could do to feel better?

one of two children, 4 years old, has a shower with their Dad when they visit him everyother weekend, the other child does not. the child that does have showers does not at home. And it has a nickname of "slippery seal" game. I feel really uncomfortable about the situation and so my question is when do i step in and say No that it is not appropriate to shower that an adult showers with a child.

So my girlfriend is on the pill but she missed for days she didnt take it for and she stopped taking it all together for this month cuase she got so far behinde.. Well we had sex and I came in her and she told me after that she hasnt taken it for about 5 days now how long is the pil in her system for and what are my chances that she will or could be pregnant?

Okay, I don't want to sound nasty, but I'm sorry. You know how it feels when you start your period, like say you are at work and you start your period, you can just tell by the feeling down there. On the day my baby was born, she would wake up screaming if left in the hospital bassinet for more than 5 minutes. Utterly exhausted, I moved her to our bed, and she has been there ever since. She sleeps soundly all night, waking only to nurse.
She is now 3 months old, and my parents are saying its not healthy for her to be in our bed. Truth be told, I like cuddling with her at night, and our heater doesn't work very well. Since it's winter, my husband gets mad if I try to put her to bed in her crib anyway, saying it's too cold. So we both like the family bed arrangement.
But I know it can't last forever. I'm especially worried about when she starts getting mobile.
We can't afford a side-sleeper or anything like that. Any advice? Anybody else gone through this?

Considering that its fact that very short men have much harder lives than the general population (make less money, date much much less - if at all, or remain an involuntary virgin for life) - would any of you abort your MALE son if you knew that he was only going to grow up to 5'4" or shorter? Researchers in Sweden have found that short men are most at risk for suicide anyways-

I wish my father never had kids with my mother. Height is almost always passed on through the womens side. My mother is only 5'0" and my father is 5'10" - I have to suffer my mothers genetic sins and live my life at 5'4". I'm a 23 year old Stanford psych student who has never dated and chances are I will never date due to my repulsive height. Women say that height is not important - but thats not at all true - height is everything and now I have to suffer as a 5'4" cripple.

And please, no "god" or "Jesus" answers - those concepts are rationally meaningless.

My nephew is cute but sometimes he can be a pain in the butt. Babysitting is hard cause I don't have his mom around to back me up, just me myself and I. I am thinking of new ways to punish him cause I never seem to get the point accross that is he does it again then he will get in trouble, and just now i came up with a time-out where there are two gates (making like a little jail cell away from his TV, and toys) in the hall and I keep him in there for 3 minutes, and he seems to calm down a little.

I wonder if that is to mean cause he is traped in a small area no toys and no tv. Am i being to mean?

I look around and I see all the beautiful babies and then you look at the mother and she is like 14 years old!!! Why are kids having kids? Parents need have a better hold on their children! I hate the fact that there are so many parents out there who don't give a rip if their daughter is having sex and getting pregnant. It is sickening to even hear them when they brag about their 14 year old daughter being pregnant with their grandchild. It also makes me sick to think about all the women in the world who can't have kids and yet all these stupid little girls are sleeping around having kids left and right. I know life isn't fair...but it is just so sad. What kids don't realize is that they are ruining every chance that they had at a real future. Some people may disagree with me but I don't care. Opinions are like assholes...everyone has one...

Ok well I am currently pregnant at 34 weeks with my first child a son. Which I could not be more then happy over. But then there is a problem the father and I just started talking about 6 days ago. We had not talked.or seen eachother in about 5 months. Ok well he found me and called me and begged me to give him one more chance. I do love him more then anything but the problem is he has a 8 month son by someone else. How do I know that he really does love me and our son? He says he wants to marry me and not let me go again forever. He is the one that found me again and has taken time off to be here when our son is born and wants to be here and love me he says. What should I do I am so confused. It is not that he is not a good father to that one but that one was not planned and our was just do to our differences we decided time apart was the best. Does he love me and our son? Can things work out between him and I? Can I not feel that he loves the other babys mom?

and took our child and stayed at a relatives, would this be kidnapping...i mean I am the mom.
My guy has a house, his house, and I cant deal with him anymore, but since I am stay home mom I dont have any money, thats why I would stay at a relatives house. What are my rights???
