You really shouldn't test using a home pregnancy test until at least the first day of your missed period, at the earliest. There is a HPT (First Response, I believe) that claims to be sensitive enough to detect the pregnancy hormone 5 days before your missed period. But you're better off waiting until you are actually late or miss your period; this will reduce the chance that you get a false negative (it tells you you're not pregnant when really you are). Be patient, and wait and see if you are late for your period...if you are, go out and get a HPT. Or try the earlier one, but be prepared in case it is wrong.

You can go to the doc and take their pregnancy test after about 2 weeks of conception, but home pregnancy tests are a different story. You usually don't get a clear result for about 5 weeks after your last period.

You can take a pregnancy test 19 days after the day you think you became pregnant. A blood test will show you are pregnant after only 7 days following conception.

I took a first response pregnancy test 12 or 13 days after I had unprotected sex the line was faint but it was there. Good Luck Fyi first response advertises you can take it before you miss your period and I never took one that was wrong.

As soon as you miss your period or if you are starting to feel symptoms. Pregnancy tests these days are much more sensitive and can detect the pregnancy hormone in your urine much faster.

You don't have to wait that long. As soon as you have missed or are late for your period then you can take one. There is one out there that can detect the hormone as early as three days before your periods are due.

2 weeks past ovulation or if you don't know when ovulation occurred when your period is late. If you aren't sure of either then wait at least 19 days after sex to test.
