The answer is simple: yes, having had previous abortions CAN make it difficult both to conceive and to carry a baby to term (ie: not miscarry)...A study was done recently in London, I believe, that shows what factors seem to attribute to most women having miscarriages before the 3 months mark, and among them were having AN abortion...so I can't think that having more than one would make things any easier. It is possible that the scar tissue from your abortions are making it difficult for a fertilized egg to implant. Trying for a year is pretty normal, though...if it has been much longer, you may need to see a fertility specialist.
Not sure why you've decided against having so many babies in the past, though...you may have lost your chance, but good luck.

Yes, it may have compromised your fertility. You might have scarring in your tubes or issues with the lining of your uterus due the the trauma they sustained from the surgeries. You need to see a reporductive endocrinologist. He or she can do an ultrasound to check for major issues like scarring. Good luck and I hope you get some answers soon!

Yes that is probably the reason. I can't remeber where i read it ( probably was in one of my classes at university - studied bio ) but one abortion made no diffrence , more did make a diffrence.
Get checked out - probably ultra sound of your womb would be able to tell you if there is still dammage. dosn't mean it cant happen though.

I believe so but it is advisable that you consult a doctor. There maybe other possibilities like low sprem count etc. There is nothing to be shy of
