As soon as I saw HENRY I thought this was going to be a DIY question.
A Henry is a superb vacuum cleaner and available from
B & Q for around £80. They are bagless, very reliable and have 'HENRY' written across the front with a smiley face.
HENRY in it's use as a boys name, is also quite strong and masculine.
It can be accociated with the sole owner of the Ford Company Henry Ford,he became one of the richest and best-known people in the world. He is credited with "Fordism", that is, the mass production of large numbers of inexpensive automobiles.
There is also Henry the engine, he lives on the fictitious Island of Sodor with many other locomotives, including Thomas the Tank Engine, Gordon the Big Engine and Percy the Small Engine. He is engine number 3 on the railway.
Henry IV, is a history play by William Shakespeare.
It is the second of Shakespeare's four-play series that deals with the successive reigns of Richard II, Henry IV (2 plays), and Henry V. Henry IV, Part 1 depicts a span of history that begins with Hotspur's battle at Homildon against the Douglas late in 1402 and ends with the defeat of the rebels at Shrewsbury in the middle of 1403.
It was probably first performed early in 1597.
From the start it has been an extremely popular play both with the public and the critics.
Carry On Henry is the 21st of the Carry On film series.
It tells a fictionalised story involving Sid James as Henry VIII, who chases after Barbara Windsor's character Bettina.
The original alternative title was to be Anne of a Thousand Lays a pun on the Richard Burton film Anne of the Thousand Days and Sid James wears the exact same cloak that Burton wore that film.
Henry is also a surname and can be assciated with many famous people including Lenny Henry, and George Henry the Scottish painter.
It's not a name I would immediately think of for my child but I am sure he will never hate you for it.
Good luck with your bundle of joy x x

I myself am having a boy and that is not one that I considered, however it is up to you.
I personally think it is a good solid name, and there is not much that rhymes with it so fortunately it would be hard for kids to turn it into something bad once he gets to school. (I know its a terrible to think about your little one possibly getting teased but its something to consider!)
I thought this might help you a little bit:
Definition: From the Germanic name "Haimric" and Old French "Henri" which meant "home rule," composed of the elements heim "home" and ric "power, rule." A very popular Norman surname after the Conquest.
Surname Origin: English, Irish, French
Alternate Surname Spellings: HENRI, HENREY, O HENRY, OHENRY, HENERY, HENERIES, FITZHENRY
Good Luck!

It depends on where you live. In England that's a fine, manly name. In the US he may get teased since it sounds a bit stuffy and old fashioned compared to the Michaels, Jimmys, Davids etc. out here. What middle name were you thinking? Perhaps Henry could be his legal name but call him by his middle name.

Why not? All men called Henry used to be baby boys once, so that name can't be that bad.

Depends on what your surname is and if you have chosen a middle name also? Obviously if the initials of your child make something silly they will get teased? e.g. Henry Oscar Gallagher - HOG!! But whatever makes you happy is what you should go for. Good luck with your little un - by the way I am calling my baby Anthony! :-)
