I have 2 children...almost 5yrs and 10months. My husband and I would like to have one more child. He wants to start trying at the first of the year. I am concerned with the 2 yougest being so close in age. But, at the same time I think to myself, just get it done and over with. Any suggestions?

My brother & sister and I were all within 15 months apart and we are as close as can be. It helped alot being so close in age although there was the usual fighting growing up. But I think it was a huge benefit to us, especially not having much guidance from parents. I also have an older 1/2 sister who is 6 years older than me and I always felt more distance between us because of the age gap. So I say stop worrying and go for it. No matter what you will make it work anyway... so no worries! Good Luck!

well coming from a middle child (my older brother was 8 when my little brother was born and a was 21 months) its not that bad.. the older child is old enough to have their own life and still be protective of the younger ones! i wouldn't have it any other way. I love both of my brothers and both for very different reasons. my older brother has always stood by me and he has always talked me though alot of tough times, and he knew what to do b/c he had been there. and me and my younger brother could experience things together.... but I wouldn't have it any-other way! get to making that baby! GOOD LUCK!

I think if you really want 3rd child you should have it. No matter when will you give birth, you will love that baby the same. My advise is, if you feel ready to have next baby have it, if you feel that you cannot cope with 2 toddlers wait for the nowdays youngest grow up, but won't it be too late then ?

personally I would wait till the youngest is out of dipers before you try. This will prevent double dipper duty and also if you are trying to or just accomplished potty training and you have a younger child in dipers it can cause a set back. But it is all up to your family and what you guys wants.

There really are not any right or wrong answers for this question. You have to do what is right for you and your family. I suggest that you also enlist the advise of your OBGYN. The doctor will listen to you and advise you based upon what he knows about you, and most of all is your body ready to have another baby. Good luck and God Bless in the decision you make.

i have two boys ages 8&10 I wanted them to only be two years apart Are you sure you want a third? Two is more then enough and think of how you will have to split your time between 3 of them and how much more attention a newborn will need.

Yes it is way better to just do it all at one time. Having them close in age is 10 times easier to me especially on the pocket. Gotta love hand me downs.

i think u should do it.the older child can be a great influence on the younger two.that will make the oldest child a better person while the younger two will have each other for hard times

I have 3 close in age, and I am finished. It is hard in the "baby" stages...but as they get older, they can pretty much entertain themselves since they are soooo close!

If you and your husband would like another child then it's best to hurry up and have one....having them far apart is a bad thing.
