What was the situation where you decided to use Formula instead of breastfeeding?

Did you try unsuccessfully to breastfeed beforehand? Or, had you decided against breastfeeding before the baby was born?

What were the factors leading you in the direction of using Formula rather than breastfeeding?

Was mother HIV, double mastectomy, poor health, anxiety, low milk, etc. a factor? Or perhaps baby premature, cleft lip, adopted, etc.

Finally, are you aware of Midwives and the help they can give you before, during, and after birth, or such worldwide groups as www.lllc.ca www.lalecheleague.org www.laleche.org.uk for those who want to give or receive breastfeeding support.

Please, no angry, defensive, or generally negative answers, I’m not interested in such responses (let’s all be friends, OK?). Just the facts as you see them, thank you.

I am trying for a baby and i am not due on until the 21st december, i had a 39 day cycle last month after coming off the pill, i was wondering if this maybe an early sign? or could it be just side affects of coming off the pill. thanks for any help.

I had my son on Nov. 2nd and before having him my hair was really growing and thick and healthy looking however, I started noticing that my hair is not the same. My hair has falling out alot and my hair line in the front seems to be receding.. Every time I brush my hair I am constantly shedding and I am worried to death.

I believe that it has alot too do with not getting enough rest, and stress. My little one does not let me get sleep at all.. He seems to be waking up every hour. My question too you ladies is anyone else experiencing this with there hair? If yes, What can I do too help my situation?

My daughter is eight, she cries over everything! She is constantly coming home from school crying because someone said something...etc. Its not an act its all real, once she starts its hard to stop. I have talked to her about her friends and told her maybe she just needs new friends...its not helping. Today I recieved a phone call from the guidance counselor at school telling me they had a 45 min convo about what was bothering her(I also found out this is not the first time). She constantly wants to be left alone, in her room, the tree house...etc. She gets angry because nobody wants to play with her but sometimes she's downright mean and I can't blame them for not wanting to, but I only tell her sometimes you have to play what other ppl want. She will then just go off on her own. I have tried to ignore the behavior not wanting to give in to "drama", I have talked to her about it, and forbid her to be friends with some ppl, nothing works. Any ideas?

I am on here for my friend. she is 23weeks preg. and she wanting to know does she have to get this special shot becouse her mom has the blood type Rh- and (my friend) blood type is O- so does she really have to get a shot when she by 28weeks. TMI:

I had no symptoms before 4 days past ovulation (DPO).

On 4 DPO I had cramping, a bloated and sore abdomen and thick unscented creamy cm.

On 5 DPO I had real BAD cramping, a bloated and sore adomen, and the cm. My abdomen hurt enough that I lost my appetite.

On 6 DPO (today) I have virtually no cramping, but I still have the cm and my abdomen hurts when I put any pressure on it.

I have no bleeding.

I called the doctor and he said he will see me only when I have a + HPT. My period isn't for another week.

Is my cramping normal after ovulation or possibly implantation?

I have been trying off and on for a couple of years. I have had 2 miscarriages and just need some reassurance. I am very well prepared w/ ovulation kits, charting my temps, etc. but I just need to hear some positives. Share with me ladies... and please be serious. This is never an easy thing to deal with.

My neice loves anything Disney or Pixar. I can barely get my kid to sit still long enough to watch baby einstien videos. but I like it that way. I don't want him getting hooked on TV or useing it as a babysitter. I would much rather he follow me around the house or play with his toys. How do I tell my sister that without soundling like i am calling her a bad parent for letting Ry watch tv all the time? Oh by the way my son is 15 months and she is 16 months. And my sis is always acting like something is wrong with Ike or me as a parent because he dosent watch tv?

Okay so I am not pregnant, but plan to one day, but i am still curious, when you are pregnant do you have the option of having natural birth (vaginal) or if you choose to have cesarian can you have cesarian by choice?? Basically I guess what I am asking is can you request to have cesarian , or is only when the babies head is not positioned right for delivery??? The reason I ask is because I heard that your stuff down there ( vulva, the labia , vaginal opening and what not can become somewhat deformed in some cases, and so i would just like to avoid all that if possible)
