Okay so I am not pregnant, but plan to one day, but i am still curious, when you are pregnant do you have the option of having natural birth (vaginal) or if you choose to have cesarian can you have cesarian by choice?? Basically I guess what I am asking is can you request to have cesarian , or is only when the babies head is not positioned right for delivery??? The reason I ask is because I heard that your stuff down there ( vulva, the labia , vaginal opening and what not can become somewhat deformed in some cases, and so i would just like to avoid all that if possible)
Thanks!

most doc's will only perform a c-section if it becomes necessary.....ob's job is to primarily watch and oversee the birth......now adays only celebrities can request c-sections and get one............i have never heard of anyone becoming deformed from child birth so don't worry

A woman's body is designed to accommodate the birth of a baby. There are differences in your body after the baby is born, but in most cases, nothing that is long-lasting or deforming. Cesarean Section deliveries are not recommended without a medical reason. Because a C-section requires cutting through the layers of your abdomen to expose the uterus, they take longer to heal from, have a risk of infection, can make breast-feeding difficult, and affect the muscle tone of your stomach. Unless there was some birth trauma, your vaginal parts are not deformed. The stretching of your vagina returns to normal in most cases and can be helped by doing Kegel exercises. There are many reasons a woman might need a C-section, but most good doctors will not do one just because the mom wants one.

Deformed down there?!?! You have GOT to be kidding me!
Women have been having babies since the dawn of time. I don't think there's a single woman that is "deformed" in her vaginal reigion from having a baby! Maybe a little "looser" but if you do your Kiegels the vagina will snap back to normal in no time.
Vaginal births are the natural way that God intended us to have children. Doctors rarely do cesarians unless the mother or the baby's health is in jeapordy. There's too much risk involved with a c-section, including infection, blood loss, pain, etc.
If you're not woman enough to handle a vaginal delivery or are just too vain to have a normal delivery then you shouldn't have children!!!

I don't know whether you can choose to have a c-section ...but in my opinion, having it naturally is better for several reasons.
1. less pain after-wards...sure it's painful to deliver naturally unless of course you get an epidural...but don't you want to enjoy your first days as a mom rather than be stuck in your hospital bed in pain and on pain medication which makes you sleepy. I had mine naturally and was up and out of bed the same day I delivered.
2. I'd rather be deformed down there than to have a nasty scar from the c-section...FYI i had a 8lb 3oz. baby and I have no deformation.
3. If you have a natural birth you are more likely to be able to hold your new baby right away....if you have a c-section they only allow you to hold the new baby for a few mins. before they take the baby away while they finish sewing you up...at least this was my sisters experience...she had a c-section (not by choice).

I was scared when i first found out i was pregnant it scared me to death, i wanted a c-section soo bad cause i was thinking a child coming out down there.. you got to be kidding but after a few months i didnt think i wanted a c because it takes a longer time to heal from one of those then it does the other way. Deformed? haha how long have women been having babies? we were made for this girl.. and the only way you could get deformed down there is if the doctor had fun with the knife!

Yes you can request to have a cesarian. There is no problem with that. I had my 1st son naturally but i would do it again if i would go back in time.

It's depends on where you live...some places give you the option or natural birth or c-section. If you are thinking about getting a c-section when you get pregnant you should think long and hard. It takes much longer to heal from a c-section than having natural birth.

It doesn't become deformed unless you have a 10 pound baby and are pushing for three hours then you may have a problem down there but other then that you should be fine.

There are plenty of OB/GYNs who will perform a C-section because that is what you want. But, I think you may be a little too worried about becoming deformed. Do you really think a C-section scar is going to look pretty?

most of the time the doctors will not do a c-section unless it is an emergency. And having a natural delivery isn't bad. I had 3 that way.
