I pump for my 8-month old, and also give about 8-10 ounces of bm to my 3-year old. I mix it in with his regualr milk. I haven't been freezing any lately since all that I pump goes to the boys now. I have a 2-month stash in the freezer. I'm trying to decide how much longer I want to pump.

I'm familiar with the health benefits of bm for the baby, but what about my older child? He actually only received about 2 months worth of bm when he was a baby, so I like that I can give it to him now. On the other hand, I'm sick of pumping.

Does the bm help with brain development and immunity at 3? What does he lose if I stop giving him bm?

I went to pick up my boyfriend's 12yo daughter from her dance class a few weeks ago, and one mom there was going through the catalogues of dance costumes with her daughter, telling her "Y'all should get this one because it's sexy."

The 12yo gets dressed in dance costumes better suited to a so-called gentleman's club, with tons of make-up. When off-stage, she wears shorts that barely cover her underwear (probably don't if she bends or stretches), bikinis, strapless belly-baring tops, and shirts with suggestive sayings.

What is wrong with moms?

They think since they can't get away with wearing that stuff anymore they have to live vicariously and dress their kids in it?

And, how do we stop it? Specifically, how can I intervene for this 12yo who I actually have no jurisdiction over?

My three-week-old doesn't poop everyday and her doctor said that's normal, as long as she goes at least once every five days or so. I know she's constipated because I hear her straining and sometimes she cries out in pain. Is there any way to make her feel better?

I throwing up like 8 times it wont stop, I'm afraid it going be more than 8 time, I try relax, I drink little water tiny of zip, and ate cracker it's didnt HELP, it still give me throwin up :( Help please how can i stop throwing up?

I have been with my boyfriend for 6 years currently I am five months pregnant. I really dont care what they think about me, I know I am a well rounded individual who has a bright future ahead. Anyway his mom asked to speak to me on the phone the other day and she started b*itching at me saying I dont know why you are having a baby for my son you dont respect him. All of these things she said were not even true. She called me pretty much every name in the book. Me and my boyfriend like other couples have our arguments but we are really happy. Its just that when we do he ends up telling his mom or famliy a small part of what happened and in the end they start not liking me and telling him to break up with me and asking why he is with me. It really makes me angry because his mom threatened to take away the baby when he is born because I will be a terrible mom. Which is not true I am great with kids and me and John have been trying to have a baby for a long time. What to do??

We just found out we are pregnant. I am always so tired. So at night, i want to get some sleep. He wants to mess around. When i tell him i am too tired, he gets upset and says i dont find him attrative anymore. I do though. He is the most beautiful person i have ever met. I tell him all the time he is so hot to me. Well, my husband and I are TTC for about 4 months now. So far no luck. My period is late and I've got symptoms but all the tests say no...So for now im gonna take it as just PMS. When i was younger I had regular cycles and now that I'm older (22) they aren't so regular anymore. Sometimes they are early, sometimes they are late. Sometimes I skip months. I was cleared from my ob/gyn to start trying, but my question is this...I'm sure its hard to conceive when one is normal, but would it be a good idea to discuss with my dr. and get on BC until i regulate and then TTC? We have a 15 yr old daughter. She is a good kid. Great grades, and goes to church regularly. She has good morals. But, she is so disrespectful, sassy, and rude to all of us as a family. She treats her 12 yr old brother like dirt. And isn't always nice to our 4 yr old. She expects to be on the phone and/or computer as much as she likes. (most of her friends have unlimited freedom to do this) She does VERY LITTLE to help around the house. (How do I get her to help more without being a nag?) And she complains she doesn't get to do enough, and she has a boyfriend, who she wants to see more of...**gag** She isn't allowed to 'date' although, he can come here to watch a movie, play a game, etc...and vise versa if his family is home. And I will take them to the movies & pick them up...but, I feel once a week is plenty, they see each other at school & at least one night a week at school/church related activities. Our son is getting sassy as well, he is 12...HELP! :)

There's an awful lot of "eat well -- it's SO important for your baby!" but I'm not running into a lot to back it up.

There's some reasonably well-documented stuff on why and how bad things are bad (the alcohol hysteria is a bit overblown, but no mind), but would spending nine months eating junk food really cause that many problems? And, is nine months of the healthiest possible stuff really going to offer a tremendous advantage? Details, please!

(NB: I have always eaten a quite healthy diet; this is just curiousity.)
