hi listen if you want to take your 2 yr old to the movies i suggest bring a back pack with her blankie or fav stuffed animal as well as her favorite snack and juice box. most theaters have a row of seats in the back that have a 4-6 foot gap from the last row this allows your child when or if she gets bored to get up and walk in that area. try to give a little freedom and tell her to be as quiet as she can for the other people in the theater. also if you are gonna see charrlotts web remember there will be a whole theater filled with little kids and she should not be a problem. and you may find out that your child is great compared to some you will here in the theater lmao. good luck and try to keep it fun and not like she is at a church or something. =)

You know your daughter better than anyone else! Do you think she could do it? When my nephew was two he loved going to the movies and would sit quietly and cuddle with the adults, and, if anything, would fall asleep. On the other hand my niece is three and still can't sit through a movie in the theater! Some kids might be scared of the large screen and noisiness. At a kids' movie there will probably be nothing but kids, so you don't have to worry about your daughter disturbing anyone! Try it... take her to a matinee so it'll be cheaper, and see how it goes!

Well, my daughter loved to watch movies at home when she was 2. She would sit and watch the entire movie, rarely getting up for any reason. We took her to the movie theatre thinking she would do the same there, but all she wanted to do was play in the isles. She didn't actually sit through an entire movie in a movie theatre until she was over 3. It never hurts to try but I would definitely go to a matinee showing so in case you have to leave if she can't be still, you won't lose the money of a full price ticket.

Tough call. Movies can be a little loud for little ones and they have a tough time paying attention that long.
There are some theaters that have Mommy matinees early in the day. They leave the lights on just a little and turn the sound down a bit. Since it's all parents with kids, no one cares if your daughter cries or gets up a lot.

If you think she will sit still for it I don't see the problem but at 2 years old I doubt it. It really would be a waste of money if she spent five minutes watching the movie and then you spent the rest of the time chasing her up and down the aisles. I like waiting for the DVD then I have it for those times that I need a break (my son loves the animals, too).

I took mine at that age. I would sit near the back if possible. Get plenty of drinks, popcorn, etc so you don't have to get up and make sure to visit the bathroom right before the movie if she is potty trained. It'll be fine. If she likes the movie, she'll probably sit and watch it. If not, you can always leave and haven't lost much but a little time and a little money. Good luck!

Sorry to say, but toddlers and the movie theaters just don't mix. They stay quiet for majority of the movie, but for some reason they get all loud in the middle or the good parts. So try to get a babysitter when you and your honey go to see the movie of the weekend!

I would first see if she can sit through a movie at home with out too many distractions. My son just turned 3 in Nov. and we took him to see Cars when it came out and he did very well. Good Luck. If she can sit for a while without too much comotion then I would go ahead and introduce it to her. Odds are there will be a lot of children there in the theatre, so it won't be soooo crucial to keep her quiet!

Can she sit on the couch and watch a whole movie? This is where the answer lies, if at home she can't sit through a whole movie, most likely she would not be able at a movie theater either.

Most theaters have a "mommy movie" it is the first showing on wednesdays or something. You bring your kids and there are other babies therre and all of the moms understans that so no one is bothered by crying. They even have changing tables in the theater so you dont miss anything. If your local theater doesnt do this ask them to. Its a huge money maker
