Pregnancy & Parenting - 30 November 2006

I have 2 weeks left till my due date. Yesterday my feet were swollen really bad...I soaked them in epsom salt and kept them elevated above the heart......they went down during the night.....but when i got up this morning and was getting dressed for work they swelled back up again....is there anything else I can do? I go to the doctor today.....will she put me on bed rest???

well...im in 8th grade and 13 and my best friend is also 13 and 8th grade...im smart enough not to but she isnt...she had u know what with a 15 year old and shes no sure if he used a condom and if shes pregnant or not ive already told her how stupid she was to do it and how its her fault she didnt walk away (no it wasnt a rape) so she feels stupid right now but shes still thinking she couldnt do anything about it...what can i do to make her understand?? i know i should stay out of it but shes my best friend and..u know...shes 13

Looking around online, I found that there are other babies who do this, but no suggestions about how to deal with the situation or how long it continues.

My son was sitting up unsupported at 6 months, now at 11 months I still must sit behind him because he will suddenly throw himself backwards without warning. My husband thinks we should buy him a helmet so he can play a little more independently once in a while as his attachment to me is extreme. I would not leave him in the room alone anyway, so I am fine with continuing to sit behind him... though it would be nice to be facing him so we could interact when he plays.

Has this happened with your baby? How long did it continue? Why does it happen (he catches himself when he wobbles in other situations which shows he does have regard for his safety), and when will it stop?

I always wanted to get pregnant , have a baby and be a mom without being married . I got pregnant and had the sweetest baby three weeks ago . My brother says God will punish me for having a baby without being married . Is there a religion that says it's okay to have a baby without being married ? Can I give him an opposing point of view or a second opinion ?

i will be 36 weeks tomorrow, i lost my plug on monday and in the last few days i have been having some mucus when i go to the bathroom not every time just every once in awhle, and then last night my stomach got hard and i had alot of lower abdominal pain, but it went away, and have had none since last night, my question is does this sound like my labor is starting? i told my doc. and they said that if i start having contractions to call them, but i just wanted to see what other people thought on this. also any words of advice would be graet. this is my second child, if that helps.

is nomal to have a small belly in36 weeks preggy. and im 108 pound. they say the baby is a good size. i never got fat even when if im pregnant i stay the same just with a big belly i eat alot DR. IM OK what can i do to get a little fater and if its nomal to have a small belly 4 9 months.

I'm a single mom looking for a job. Should I tell a prospective employer that I have children? I know from experience that employers do not hire moms even though that is illegal.
What do I tell the employer when they ask me why I can't work overtime or why I can't work certain hours like evenings and weekends? The real reason why I can't work those hours is because daycares are only open Monday- Friday until 6 pm and closed on the weekends and holidays.

My step daughter from out of town just called and said she will be in town next week and this would be the chance for the people up here that did not get to attend her baby shower in the other town last month. I am strapped for time and even getting the house clean. company ready and decorated for christmas is a task. What would be fun, easy and CHEAP things to do to entertain guest and a thrown together baby shower.

PS she is due at the End of December. (5% sure its a boy)

My period 3 weeks late. My last period was Oct.9th though the 12th. I'm pretty regular so I know that I'm more than likely pregnant. The thing is that up until a month or so ago I've been messing with the same guy, him and only him, for over a year. My main guy, lets call him guy #1, and I have been having sex regularly. Within the past 2 months we've been using condoms everytime. There's a possibility that maybe once we didn't but neither of us is sure. Anyways so heres the weird part...Last month, Oct.13th and 14th, I caught up w/one of my ex's, Guy #2, and we messed around a few times. Not sex but other stuff. W/O being too graphic there were hands all over the place, fingers all over the place and lots of rubbing. He was really wet but didn't fully *** I dont think.
My question is that I've heard it's possible to get pregnant without having sex, if the sperm gets close enough, and i'm sure it was close enough. With the timing and stuff who would the dad be? Ideas please!!!

well i want a baby so bad it hurts but sometimes i guess its in my head that im pg but i swear i can feel a baby its driving me nuts i was told i cant conceive and if i do it wouldnt be the best pregnancy i took 3 test the first was positive and two were negitive ive been so sick i cant eat or sleep and my hair is falling out in handfulls i am so scared is it reaaly possible i am going crazy at only 18? my fianee well be married in july 07 says i should try to calm down a little but its impossible ill be in a store and cry cause ill see some one thats pg and it hurts i want what they have!!!!

my hubby and I are ttc and Im almost a month late (not wanting to get my hopes up so I've put off the blood test til my birthday which is in 6 days) ok on to my question.... my breast are sore but not I having a kinda dull (more annoying than painful) pain under my arm (armpit area) going towards my right breast what do you think it is? My temperature has been around 98.29,98.13, 99.25, and then out of nowhere it goes to 97.25 What could this mean??




The temperatures are from a Basal Body thermometer


I am two weeks away from starting my period so that isn't it. I have only been charting for a few days and here is what they were over the last few days
Monday- 98.29<- + opk faint line on test
Tuesday-98.13<- didn't test this day
Wednesday-99.25 not 98.25 sorry <- this is supposed to be the day I ovulated + opk stronger result line today
Thursday-97.81

I don't understand what would cause a full degree spike and then the next day a full degree drop

I'm 37 weeks so ready tohave this baby and tired of waiting! My butt hurts, my back hurts, my belly feels bruised, I can't sleep...uh...how much longer! I know everyone feels this way at this point in their pregnancy, it just makes me feel better to hear I'm not the only one this miserable. To make it worse I'm stuck at work sitting ALL day with a grumpy bosss! Baby please come!

My daughter has pink eye, and we are supposed to put an ointment in her eye 3 times a day.She now shuts her eyes so tight I can't pull her lids open to apply the ointment.Does anyone have any advise on what could make this process easier for the both of us.

Hello! I have a 4 month old Baby Boy who is in a weird spoiled stage. He cries like crazy if he is not picked up and carried. He is only calm if I have him in my arms. If I lay him down, or even sit down with him in my arms, he screams and won't stop crying. I don't want this to become a habit. What should I do? Just let him cry? Thanks!
