Now, I have no idea if this is the same thing, but towards the end of my pregnancy and while I was breast feeding, I would get shooting pains just as you described. I was told that was completely normal. Not sure if it's the same thing considering you are either just barely pregnant or not pregnant at all. I'm sure I didn't really answer your question, but I do wish you the best of luck, and since you are ttc, then I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Everyone's cycle is different. There is a myth that woman ovulate 14 days after their period begins...but that is only an AVERAGE and each month can be different. The other thing is that sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.... The only way to know is to know exactly when you ovulate. There are several ways to know and some are more effective than others. Some can only predict before ovulation happens and some can only predict that is has already happened. The absolute best info I can give you is to go read a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! . It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. My husband and I tried for 1 year and had no luck..… We tried ovulation predictors , laying with pillows under me for 20 min. everything……the first month that I began using the book I realized that my timing was WRONG!. We got pregnant that very first month and I am now due Feb 2, 2007. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths! Even if you don't get into charting and everything....it will help you in so many ways!

I know you want to wait until your birthday but you should really find out asap. You need to take your vitamins and take care of yourself as well. If you are not pregnant, then the pain would warrant medical attention. It could be swollen lymph nodes because you have a virus, it could be a cyst, it could be so many other things. A positive or negative HPT will help point you in the direction of the next step.

If you are pregnant, you should be seeing a doctor right now and most are backed up a few weeks especially being the holidays but you can't schedule an appt unless you know. If you call to say you're not sure, they're not going to schedule it as anything but a test with the nurse. You're going to wait and then be late seeing the doctor! Test today! Make the appointment tomorrow regardless seeing how youre so late.

Your breast tissue actually goes into your armpit area, which is why they tell you to check that area when doing breast exams. If you do not feel any lumps, then I wouldn't worry about any problems with your breasts, and assume it could be a sign of pregnancy. It's good you are treating this as if you are pregnant. Unfortunately, I think you are going to have to wait for blood test results. Hopefully the blood tests are more sensitive now than when your mom was pregnant and you will get a positive result sooner. Best of luck to you.

Well, you could very much be pregnant or you may be experiencing cramps pending arrival or your period. I cramped as if I was getting my period and I ended up pregnant. I am now 8 weeks but I did have the sore breasts and when I say sore I mean sore. I also had a tingling feeling in my nipples. You may be pregnant so I wouldn't think negative yet. However if you are having problems conceiving then I think you should try the Clearblue Easy Ovulation Kit. It worked for me on the first try.

Hi, I had the exact same thing.Under my left arm pit it hurt for about 2 weeks and then it went away. I am sorry that you have had rude remarks. If you are a month late then I am sure you are pregnant. My nipples started huring a lil as well. they seems to be more sensitive and my breast all over didnt start hurting until a while later. Good Luck!

I found with my pregnancies that PMS symptoms and pregnancy symptoms are practically the same for the first 6-8 weeks. Have the blood test, results normally take 2 days, what a birthday present a postive result would be! Good luck :)

This is so weird...I'm pregnant and I have the same pain under my right armpit but there is also a lump there (going to get a mammogram tomorrow). I started feeling it before I even knew I was Pregnant, so I think you are pregnant but you won't know until the blood test. Good Luck To You and Your Husband!

I would like to say first off that i hope your are preg. But speaking from experience i can say that if you really really want a child and you and your husband are trying hard to conceive. Your body get the umm wrong messages and can cause a lot of false preg. And you will get a lot of the symptoms and won't have your period. Cause that happened to me just cause i would love to have a child and i know for a fact that my husband and i can not have children, but cause i want one so bad I'll get all of the semitones of a pregnancy even down to getting sick in the morning and cravings, not being able to be around certain food. So it could just be a false pregnancy but i hope I'm wrong Good Luck.

Not to sound obvious, but either you're pregnant or about to get your period. Breast tenderness is common in pregnancy, too, so why not try an over the counter pregnancy test. I'd use 2 tests on consecutive days, in the morning when urine is more concentrated. Good luck, bless your heart.
