Looks like you are doing all the right things...I know its not helping but it is, getting the swelling down take time, soaking your feet and keeping them above your head and or heart is smart......feel better soon and Congrats!

You've pretty much done what you can do.
The doctor may tell you it's time to go on maternity leave.
If you must work or just really want to, then make sure you kept them propped up at work as much as possible. It doesn't have to be above your heart, as long as you aren't putting pressure on them, to have some benefit. Also make sure you get up and walk around for just a couple of minutes every half hour or so to get the circulation going. Unless the swelling is causing circulation problems or you refuse to do what is necessary to relieve the swelling or it's due to another condition that may affect the baby's health...they probably won't put you on bed rest.
Bed rest is a last resort. It's not that good for you or the baby for the most part. You need to move around and keep the blood flowing. It also helps in positioning the baby for delivery. It's harder for the baby to descend without the help of gravity.
Sometimes it's just necessary.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. Your doctor will do what is best for both you and the baby. Relax and try to take it easy until then.

If your only problem is the swollen feet it may just be normal. However if it is accompanied by high blood pressure, and protein in your urine, you could have Pre-Eclampsia/Toxemia. If you only have 2 weeks left, they may either put you on bed rest, or enduce labor. Which ever the case, take their advice. When I had my second son I had it and never knew it even though I was seen by a doctor 2 - 3 times a week. My blood pressure skyrockted over night and they had to enduce 6 weeks early in order to save my son's and my lives. Good luck!

You could be sitting upright too long without enough breaks and cutting off circulation to your feet but you're doing the right thing by going to the doc.
