Pregnancy & Parenting - 30 November 2006

He just turned 7, and he is very silly a lot of the time and has a short attention span. The teachers are trying to get me to medicate him--which I am totally against! (Yes, I do think in some cases it is needed) In my opinion, he is an average little boy who is very active and full of energy. Well, his teacher keeps e-mailing me telling me his "silliness" is getting worse and she wants me to suggest a way to help him stay on task at school. I have talked with him, and she has too...but it remains a problem. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could remind him that when he's at school he needs to listen and not play? Thank you.

About a month ago I stopped taking the pill. I still haven't recieved my period. The deal is that when I first started taking the Pill I accidently lost one of them. So for future uses I had to also take an extra pill-(ex: If I was at my last week for the Pill, I would have to take a pill from a new pack to make up for the lost one). So naturally, my last pill was on Monday but I didn't have anymore packs to take the Monday pill from. But, I hadn't had sex for a few days prior. So, is it a possbility?

He got mad because I couldn't make my mother bring he to work so he wants to call me bitches and stuff so I put him out and he took everything for the baby so I was like u could take from me but not your unborn baby it's confusing to me Should I let him in the delivery room or what?

If a woman is 4 weeks pregnant, does that mean its been 4 weeks from her ovulation/conception date or 4 weeks since the first day of her last period?

If I am 12 weeks pregnant, then that means I had my period 12 weeks ago, right? My friend is saying she is 4 weeks along and she is counting from her conception date.

How does it work?

Have you tried reading the book Fox in Sox by Dr. Suess ,to your child?
It's too much toungue twisting ,if you ask me?
It kind of annoying ,but once you start gettin' all wound up with it,it kind of gets addictive.

My teen is at the point where just getting by is enough for her. She doesn't try and excell or give her schoolwork her best. I have talked and tried to listen, but everything is ok; let her tell it. I keep communications open, there is no tv or phone or internet till she gets her grades up. I'm at the point where I want to get her tested to see if she needs to be in a learning disability class, but this has been every since she started 7th grade. She is well capable of getting better grades, even her teachers have said it, but she just doesn't apply herself to focus. She says highschool is hard and that I don't understand, but how can I understand when she is not telling me what needs to be understood. I was a teen once. I wish I had had someone to talk to, but I didn't so I had to do what I had to do. She has it good, I am in school in the day, when she's home I'm home, I am totally open, but she isn't, I am at my wicks end with her, any suggestions? serious answers only.

My fiancee has been very very moody like when she was pregnant. But when she has her periods she dont act like that. Also the other day she told me she hasnt started her montly cycle and i asked her is she pregnant she told me no but she has been feelling really tired and her breast hurt sorta. But when we have sex we use a condom but before I put the condom on i usly stick it in a couple of times. On top of all that her mucus is very slimmy like an egg why is that could that mean pregnancy. If you can help this poor guy out with this women stuff . thanks.

It is flu/cold season and I don't want my daughter to catch anything. She is only 4 days old. When people want to touch I just ask "Please wash your hands first." and they get all offended. My aunt even screamed at me. What is the nice way to ask? Should I just not let them touch her? Yes,I do wash my hands before touching her.

My doc wrote me a perscription for procardia Cap 10 MG, because I was having some contractions. I'm 33 wks pregnant. He said it would completely stop any contractions I were having. However when I got the perscription filled it only said that it was used for chest pains.
I was a bit bothered by that since I don't have any chest pains and I was wondering if any of you have had this prescribed to you for stopping contrations. I didn't particularly like the side effects either.
I got the generic brand: Nifedipine Cap 10MG

Okay, Im tired, very very tired, My baby is 10 mo old and only slept throgh the night 2x, I have tried everything, Only 1 hour nap a day, stuffing him with food. Rocking him, giving him a bath, reading a book, you name i have done it. MAYBE YOU HAVE A BETTER IDEA????????????????? PLEASE HELP

PS..he is up every hour at times.. on a good night every two hours...
