Considering that you are a RN, I would highly doubt you would qualify. However depending on where you live you might not make as what some people think you would. Given that...you should try anyway if you truly feel you need WIC. WIC is a good program to those who truly need it.

depends on how much you make. I am a nurse, with a family of 3, and the only income the last time I was pregnant and didn't qualify.
Here is a link to income eligibility requirements
http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/howtoapply/incomeguidelines.htm
Good luck

Check your local office and they will let you know what the income levels are. They consider the family sie by all the people living at the home. If you are pregnant you are considered as two people. Good luck. They won't shut you down just let you know if you qualify.

WIC is for very low-income, not people who just want freebies. Registered nurses don't qualify for WIC.

Look for a chart on the internet, listing the income requirements for WIC in your area. That'll tell you.

I think as an RN, your salary may be too high to qualify. It is a program for lower income women.

there r some rude people here - it amazes me! don't assume u all know this women's wages. or that just because of them that means she can easily afford formula etc. my husband and i both worked and even with his 2 kids, before i got pregnant, we were doing well financially. after high risk prenatal visits, specialists fees, and me being on bedrest and not working 8 weeks before and early emergency c-section, by the time she was born, we were struggling to make ends meet even with his high income. so yes -i too tried to get wic, knowing he makes a lot. it does however go by gross income and does not consider high bills/payments that were committed to before u got pregnant (such as mortgage).

It totally depends on you income and size of you family. You can call them to see if you qualify. They answered me over the phone and set up my appointment.
Check into it... it has helped my family more than you can imagine.

You're a sorry excuse for an RN and you put us all to shame. WIC is created for those who cannot afford things like formula or who don't have jobs are are down and out. As an RN you should have an excellent job and wages..this I know...I AM ONE. You need to have your butt kicked for even asking this questions.
