Its time to put your lil one into a toddler bed. My son did the same thing when he was about that age and he just loved his new bed. Make sure theres railings on the sides so your lil one wont fall out at night. This is the new stage for your lil one and he or she will really enjoy becoming a big girl or boy. I wish ya the best!

Sorry your baby is smart and active, but it's bound to happen some time, right. Do you have gate like products, so you can trap them in the their room until you get there? You are worried about if the child climbs out and gets into things aren't you?I believe it a child's job to get into everything, so I expect anything. well I guess it's time for a toddler bed now,my son was less than a year old when he made his transformation, from crib to big boy bed..If you can't get one right away, put cushions on the floor next to your child's crib and that gate(important). That will be fun for them for a while until you have found the perfect bed for them.Good luck in your ventures and take care.

you should consider taking that child out Of the crib because it should be never racking to you just wondering when your in another room if your child would climb out while your not in there and that is dangerous. you should really consider a toddler bed with railing, it sounds like a play pen might not be good for this child if he or she can climb out of a crib

If you baby can walk... convert it into a toddler bed.
My son was crawling out of the crib at 17 months and thankfully my crib converted. He went into a regular twin size bed at 20 months and has never fallen out of bed... He's a regular monkey!

I think its awsome that your kid stayed in a crib for so long....i had to move my first out of a crib at 10 months because she was climbing out of it. I moved her directly into a regular bed with no problems....good luck

you're doing each and every thing top. purely ask the suppernannies on television. :) yet you may want to be continual. in the journey that your baby is mountaineering out of the crib he might want to get harm, so evaluate leaving the mattress on the floor for a at the same time as or going ahead with the baby mattress

once they can climb the crib is no longer safe; put the crib mattress on the floor until you can get a regular bed

Sounds like he is ready for a bed. Toddler beds are fairly inexpensive and are used with the mattress from the crib.

It is time to transition your little one to a toddler bed. Whether or not you use the bumper is entirely up to you. My son's toddler bed was so close to the floor that I didn't use the bumpers. He fell out of the bed only 3 nights in a row. Since then, he has transitioned to bunk beds, and not fallen out of the bed since.
My little one started to climb out when he was 18 months. he is now 25 months.
