We've been feeding him fruits, veggies and rice off and on, but I never know when to give him which. For instance should I do: veggies/fruits for breakfast, formula, rice for lunch.. etc?

my appt for surgery is on the 13th of dec. i am scared and very nervous about this procedure, and scared about being put to sleep. i have never had surgery before. i am 22 years old with two wonderful children. i had my kids young starting at seventeen. i am now married and my husband and i have decided we no longer want any more children. i am worried that something might happen to me during surgery, and i won't be here any longer for my children. and this thought terrifies me. i really don't know what my risks are with this type of surgery. i ask the doctors and they tell me that everything will go smoothly and not to worry but never recieved any real answers. so any advice will be appreciated. thanks

Since my kids were 3 or so, I have been teaching them to do chores, while slowly adding more as their abilities become more advanced. In the begining, the chores were more of a way for me to teach them responcibility and how to be a part of our family, but now that I have 2 others (an infant and a toddler), I NEED the extra help...
Currently their chores are:
--brushing their teeth (am & pm)
--getting dressed (am & pm)
--making their beds
--vacuuming the non-carpeted floors (before & after dinner)
--tidying their bathroom
--putting dirty clothes away
--putting up their clean clothes
--bringing their dishes to the sink (after all meals)
--setting the table
--clearing the table
--tidying their room
--picking up toys in the living room
I have most of these chores divied up between them & change it weekly & they can each earn up to $2 a week allowance.
Am I asking too much? Often it is a struggle to motivate them, & my frustration w/ them doesn't help. Any tips?

My mom is kinda cool, a great mom. She's a modern woman, a byologist. She strongly encourages me and my 11 yo sister to go to college in the future and become independent women. But in some points she's kinda traditional, so she's a bit overprotective, but I know ot's out of love. Though she's graduated she thinks some of the tradional female roles should be preserved, so, in addition to what modern girsl do, like playing sports, etc, we had to learn a bit about sewing and cooking. When we do our chores at home we have to wear those tradional frilly pinafores with a bowl in the back. She got me and my sister some of them and loves to see us wearing them. Sometimes we have to keep them on even when we're having dinner or lunch or doing anything else. I get embarrassed, but to mom this kinda important. When we're not doing chores, we're not exactly forced to wear them, but we end up keeping them on just to make her happy, cause she asks w/ love .What should I do?

My 5 yr. old son's pediatrician prescribed the trimethoprim eye drops for pink eye. When my 3 year old daughter had it a few weels ago she had to see a different doctor because ours was out of town.....and that doctor prescribed the eye drops plus she put her on omnicef, taken orally. I know that was because my daughter's eyelids were also purple and swollen and she suspected a deeper infection. My son's eyelids are fine but he does have the pink eye in both eyes. Do you think the drops alone would be enough for him? Oh, and I am keeping him home from school today. How long are they contageous?

ok i just read in the health news section of full house that its now unsafe for pregnant women to cook!!!!

"mums to be should give up cooking because it could harm their unborn babies. its claimed chemicals in frying pans and other utensils could impair brain development before birth"

is it any wonder pregnant women are getting to scared to do simple things when pregnant i myself do not believe this to be true, but what do other ppl think?
im going to try and use this excuse on my hubby later, he already does so much for me dont reckon hes gonna fall for this!!!!

before i get abuse for scaring pregnant mums 2 be i am just amazed at what i read, its a uk magazine, soon we will have to stay in bed for 40weeks with a house keeper doing every thing ( how good would that be!!!! )

i had sexual intercourse three weeks ago. The last three weeks i have had all the symptoms of pregnancy, (i did use a condom), nausea, sore breasts, abdominal pains and frequent need to urinate. My period was three days late, but then i started bleeding, (now for two days) and what felt like period pain. The abdominal pains have now gotten worse, with lower back pain. The nausea and sore breasts have gone. Im confused. Is this just a period? or am i miscarriaging?

I am so overwhelmed by the backtallking, and being so lazy with chores, getting up in a bad mood, "nothing good to eat", everyday, I feel like all I do is argue with him and ***** at him to do his chores, the same thing everyday.
I know I'm whining, how do I calm myself down and deal with with him?
