Pregnancy & Parenting - 30 November 2006

A few years ago, I made some bad choices and got pregnant. Since I wasnt married, and just started dating my boyfriend (who is now my husband), I got pregnant and decided to have an abortion. I am currently 9 weeks pregnant, and two days ago I went for an Ultrasound in which a Dr. told me the baby should have miscarried (no heartbeat, not developing correctly), and she's scheduled for D&C procedure this friday to remove everything. Both my husband and I are devasted. I am ready and very excited now to be a mom, but I am so very afraid of being able to carry a normal pregnancy, or being able to get pregnant again because of my previous choices. Has this happened to anyone and you've gone to have successful pregnancies? Please share your thoughts and make me have some hope.

It drives me crazy when im driving down the street and I see some Moron Mom or dad with all their windows rolled up on their car and their poor little innocent children have no choice but to inhale all that 2nd hand smoke. Don't they know that they are causing so much harm and damage on those little kids? Or are they too stupid to care about their kids health and well being? How could they not know? Not even all that, they are teaching those kids by example that it's ok to smoke and ruin your body. Can somebody please explain this to me??? Thanks!

When my son brought home that report card yesterday I was outraged!! How dare she give my son a B!! My son is a straight A student. He told me that the teacher gave him that grade because she doesn't like his hair cut. Well I wasn't standing for that! I marched right up to that school, found that teacher, and hauled off and slapped her a good one. You should have seen her head spin when my hand met her face. She was stunned. What was wrong with doing that?? My son needs all A's!

My son's preschool class just got told that someone in their class has had lice and they checked the kids and just about everyone of them had it.

What can I use to kill them besids the toxic shampoos? He doesn't like sittin still and i'm afraid he would get stuff like that in his eyes or mouth.

i know to like wash all bedding, pilliows, steam clean the couch, put stuffed toys up in a bag for 2 weeks or in the dryer, and boil all brushes and combs. Is there anything else?

Tylenol PM while pregnant? I asked a question last night about sciatica, and one of the answers I got from another pregnant women was to take tylenol pm to help me sleep. I know you can take regular tylenol but wouldn't have thought that the PM would be safe for the baby.

It was about 2 mos ago at a party. I had way to much to drink and most every one was passed out. My friend and i were still drinking and so was this other guy that we didnt know. The last thing i remember was going to the bathroom and this guy whom i dont even know his name wallked in. after that i have no memory of what happend next. My freind cant remember much either all she knows is that we were in the batroom mabey 15 mins. I woke up the next morn in my own bed at home and i dont even know how i got there. I know for a fact that up untill that night i was a virgin. could we have had sex that night and me not know it the next day? wouldnt i have bben able to tell if i lost my virginity? And now i am almost 2 mos late on my period and i am really worried that we did something and im pregnant. I cant ask the guy becuase no one is reaaly shure who he is. What do you think?

last wednesday i went for a check up (40 weeks) and they said I was dilated 3 and 75% effaced. and yesterday now almost 41 weeks a different ob said I was dilated 1 and 50% effaced. the guy this time was in such a hurry too. he was up there for a second so i was like, well how does that work?! becasue the week b4 i was checked by 2 different ppl and they both said i was 3 so im confused. ALSO (does anyone know any good pregnancy anatomy sites)

My husband works second shift and isn't always around durring the week. She has always been closer to me because he isn't always home but lately she won't pay any attention to her father. If he picks her up she cries and pushes him away. If I tell her to hug him she won't. What do I do. I know he hasn't done anything negative to her because I'm always home with them when he's around. Should I leave them alone so she has to depend on him for things? His feelings are realy hurt. I don't want them to drift apart. He loves her so much.

Other than having a doctor exam, what are common signs that you may be in the beginning stages of labor? I've heard of some women who begin to dilate weeks before their due date. Are there any signs or symptoms that could be obvious to the mother other than the bloody mucous discharge the baby dropping?

I have been feeling like this for a week now. I vomited because I was very hungry and did not even eat breakfast. Anyhow I have been feeling like this for a week. Really hungry fast and if I don't eat I feel like I will vomit. I don't think am pregnant because I am on the pill, however I was on antibotes two months ago and that might reduce the strength. I also had my period for the two months already so I think nothing was wrong because they came. It was light, heavy and I figure that it was just the change from the pills because I only started them about 3 months now, and they normally make your period lighted. Anyhow I do think am pregnant, in fact I hope am not. I just want to know if they is another problem wrong, like stomach ulcer or something?

i got my period two weeks early nov 17 and i was supposed to start the 28th. i had been on the pill about a week. when i had started my ovulation was the monday before. i had unprotected sex on tuesday well now occurding to the calander i should be ovulating now and i had unprotected sex tuesday. i also have been cramping and dont know when to expected my period. i was wondering what are the chances of pregnancy and when do you think i should expect my period?

To take 4 different tests, and get evap lines on all of them. This has never happened to me and it kind of confused me. & I didnt let the test sit for hours upon hours before getting these lines. Im supposed to start my period today, maybe im just testing too early?

The "test" lines are too light to see if they have any color, so Im not sure if they are positive. Or if they are just evap lines.

My son has been up off and on since 3am at 1st he was just craky and he finaly fell asleep @6:00 Am this moring, I woke him up @ 7:15 AM to feed him and make sure he was okay, But as the time went on I was gettting ready for work and he started to cry non stop and then got sick, like the flu, he would not stop throwing up till about 10 min ago. I had to rock him to sleep for about 2 hrs. Any ideas of what to do if he contu. to get sick????
